I just played this for the first time and loved my time with it. While an older game, it looks just fine as the settings are colorful and vivid. Visiting various Disney locations full of Disney characters gives this game a magical feeling. The gameplay holds its own as well. The only area in which this game feels old is in some of the level design as it can be a bit convoluted. But regardless, Kingdom Hearts is a game any Disney or RPG fan should play. I'm looking forward to playing through the rest of the series!
Even after all these years this game still stands strong. The combat is fun, the leveling up is balanced, the voice acting is as good as I've ever seen, the story is dark and yet still warm and friendly. The worlds really pull you in to the movies they are based in. Even though the characters come from a range of places from Disney movies to Final Fantasy games they all seem to really fit with the story. Kids will love being able to play their favorite movies and adults will love reliving small parts of their past in a engrossing and fresh way. This game really has few flaws and is a must own for anyone who likes games with depth and heart.
Phenomenal game. If you like action and find the notion of Disney characters being integral to an involving story intriguing, you'll want to play this. A lot. The only drawback lies within the dialogue, which will make douche chills run up and down your spine on more than one occasion.
