Resonance of Fate

I bought this game because the gun battling JRPG looked pretty neat. What I found was this game has pretty dull graphics and the gameplay was very repetitive. The learning curve for the controls took me a while. I do like that the map is based upon clearing out blocks that you earn from beating enemies. The storyline was boring and I feel like I wasted my hard earned money buying this game.

I hated this game. The opening cinematics were great and the complex battle system and the graphics during battles are pretty cool. But they couldn't make up for the horrible graphics elsewhere and overall annoying gameplay. The most annoying of which is that the screen has to reload each time you run across a street, enter a different room, approach an elevator etc etc...its as if this game was on a NES or Sega Genesis not on a PS3/360.

I love this game. Since I've stopped achievement whoring this is probably one of the few RPGs that I've been able to get more than 2 hours into the story. The other being Star Ocean: The First Departure. No surprise tri-ACE makes both. The story is good, but you have to read between the lines. The graphics are decent, but could use a little refining. I'm a big fan of playing dress up though. And the fact that the characters wear the clothes you put them in in all the cutscenes is great to me. Be warned, it is a HARD game. You will have to sink or swim for the first few chapters, but after you get the hang of the battle system and get more Bezels it gets easier. One of a few games that I can't seem to keep away from for more than a day or two. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who likes RPGs.
