Not the best, not the worst but during its time, it was (hands down) "the best". This is an older title (from 2009; I am giving my two cents June 2012); "Fight Night: Champion" surely puts this to shame but Fight Night: Round 4 does have its moments and is a huge improvement from Fight Night: Round 3, which was more or less, a glorified MMA/Cage bout than 'real' boxing, in my opinion. Namely the haymaker you could throw in Round 3 is not nearly as effective as Round 4, rather ring movement and knowing when to 'move in' play a much larger role if you want to go the distance. This was the best of its kind 'at the time'; the Career Mode was much more defined than Fight Night: Round 3, a much more realistic take on boxing than its predecessor. The graphics are hands down the best of any boxing game I had played at the time and all in all, it makes for a fun go-round. "Big Brother" (Fight Night: Champion) though may be the best sports title, from start to finish, I have ever played. |

There is nothing wrong with this game and the graphics and sounds are amazing. The only reason for the 4 rating on the game play is that sometimes it is awkward to make some punches. But it is something that you can get used to so it is not a reason to skip this one. Overall very well done. |

A beautiful game that improved upon the previous in many departments. There's no more punches assigned to buttons like in FNR3 (which was cheap imo). The sim part of this game is still flawed by repetitiveness, training game problems, and your complete inability to match the stats of AI boxers even w/ perfect training. The boxer commentators get old fast, so I turned that off. Still very good! |

Exceptional graphics and physics are on display, unfortunately the attempt to create a sim boxer is thrown off by major balance issues, overly favoring counters and haymakers.
There is also a glaring lack of licensed boxers, even from past EA games many notables are missing, thankfully Boxer Share allows users to swap created boxers. |

Simply for me this a very enjoyable game. Often I find sports video games get stale quick. Maybe I like this one because its one sport I never participated in for real.... Seriously though excellent graphics, good sound, and good game play make for an exciting experience. Enjoyable |
