Full descriptionA year after its debut on HD consoles, Warner Bros. Interactive's reboot of the iconic Mortal Kombat series slices its way onto Vita with 150 new challenge missions, touch-screen controls, and all the over-the-top violence fans expect from the franchise. Players can enjoy classic 2D fighting action as they join familiar characters like Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, and Raiden for story-driven campaigns and the 300-mission "Challenge Tower" mode, and this version also includes all of the PS3 DLC, including the ability to fight as or against Freddy Krueger and Kratos. The Vita's touch-screen controls and accelerometer have been fully utilized, allowing gamers to swipe away onscreen blood during matches, knock down incoming missiles, keep their character level in the "Test Your Balance" mini-game, and slice through flying body parts in the Fruit Ninja-like "Test Your Slice" mode. Players can also unleash special moves and fatalities simply by swiping the touch screen. The Vita version includes new challenge maps and unlockables, and multiplayer fans can take on friends in local or online matches.
