The calculation is based on a market research conducted by Goozex at a few retail stores, and assumes:

• Average cost of a used game at retail: $25.00
• Average trade-in value of a used game: $5.00
• Average shipping cost of a game to a Goozex member: $2.50
• Cost of each trade on Goozex: $1.00
• Availability of enough Goozex points to request a game of comparable value

This results in an average net saving of about $16.50(*) for each game received.
