Greetings Goozers!

The Goozex Team would like to welcome everyone to the eighth edition of the Goozex Newsletter.

This month's topics include:
Goozex User Profiles
As many of you know, Goozex has been working hard towards building the very best features we can provide for the online community. Over that last couple of months, the team has put together a new feature that will help you display a bit more about yourself as a gamer and also expand your network of gamer friends!

New features include the following:

  • Show what games you’re playing now
  • Show the games you’ve rated and commented on
  • Share your gaming background and preferences
  • Find a history of your private messages
  • Invite to Play feature
  • And more!

Playing now + Invite to Play

Teamed with this page, showing the games you are currently playing, is the  “Invite to Play” and “Playing Now” feature.

Invite to Play is a feature that allows you to connect with other community members who are playing your game at this time. You can use it to share opinions with them, ask suggestions or tricks, and invite them to play and compete online.


When you visit any game page you can click on the "Playing Now" tab and see who is playing that game at this time. You can also add your name to the list, if you want to let the community know what games you are playing.

A similar list is available under your personal profile page, to help you manage your games more easily.

Go Ahead! Ask someone who is playing your game if you are stuck on a level and need help! Challenge fellow Goozers and your friends online, or compare results from individual play!

Vote for the Final Five! (Rock Band Prize!!)

One month ago we had you all get out your digital cameras, webcams and make a Goozex video that could win you Rock Band. Members were to upload their new creation to Youtube before February 15th.

Goozex Updates
New Activity Feeds + Activity Stats!
Have you seen the new activity stats on the front page and side bar? We recently introduced two new features that give you higher visibility on what is going on at Goozex from a single location:
  • Playing now: tells you who is playing what. Great tool to connect with the Invite to Play feature
  • Forum game discussions: See what games are being discussed on the forum

Mobile Support on Goozex (beta)
We have recently introduced support for those mobile devices (PSP, Treo, Motorola Q, etc.) that were previously not able to login on Goozex due to javascript limitations. We offer a simple login page in pure HTML that you can use to login from any mobile device that does not support javascript. Once logged in you should be able to see your Request and Library lists (at least).

Please note: Mobile support is in beta - You may still encounter problems in using the search, advanced search, and some of the My Account/Purchase functions as these use javascript heavily, but most of the other functions should work.
Goozex does not encourage surfing the Internet while driving. Please drive carefully.

Forum Highlights
Goozex Community Gift/Service Project - **Season of Giving**

The Goozex Community Gift/Service Project was a grand success! We were all able to pull together a tone of great games for families and children in need for the Washington DC area Ronald McDonald House Charities. 

On behalf of the entire Goozex Team, we would like to extend a great thanks to all of our members for their contributions to this great project.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) was quite surprised by the number of games and donations we provided and we had some eager gamers checking out the games as we unloaded them in their offices. It was a lot of fun and a great experience for us.

In addition to this, we would also like to thank member Lurknomore for his contributions in helping organize this and his continued support with this!  Lurk’s motivation and help is the catalyst to make this a bigger event in the near future.

Thanks to everyone involved and to everyone that will donate in the future!

Invite to Play with Blackcoyote and NinjaJ!

Join Goozex Co-Founders, BlackCoyote and NinjaJ on Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360 every Thursday night during the month of February.

Check out the Top Ten games for this week: The new page now shows the Top Games (Requested, Offered, and Traded) of the week as long as the Top Traders (Buyer, Sellers) of the month.

Trading tip
Goozex suggests the use of Delivery Confirmation when sending your games. You are then assured of the destination of your specific package.
