Basically if you buy NBA Live 09 for the 360 or PS3 used from someplace (GS, Goozex, etc), you'll have to pay $19.99 to download roster updates. It's DRM thing where that particular game disc is locked onto the console.

Well you can still play the game and everything, you just have to pay to download roster updates and what not. Basically if you don't buy NBA Live 09 new, then you have to pay for the DLC.
So it would still be the complete game. Just whoever wants to get the game off of here, will need to know what they are getting into. That would be something for the staff here to decide if they will allow the game to be traded on here or not.
Then people should get NBA 2K9 instead. lol

I would like to hear what they have to say about these type of things. Rock Band 2 has a 1 time use code for 20 free songs, Civ Rev has a one time use code for some extras.I'm sure there are more.
Also lets say I get one of these here and I request full package, get the game and don't use the code because I too want to trade it as full package. So the guy I trade it to trys using the code and it doesn't work. So I get the hit because the first guy used it. I didn't test it because I didn't want to burn the code. That isn't fair either.I didn't use it so I shouldn't have to take the hit for it.
These are not game breaking errors, so it is not like one of those DRM untradeable games either. You can still play the game, just the little extras are gone.
My suggestion is the extra content shouldn't be considered for the "full package" trade. If you get it you get a bonus if not...well sorry it is a used game after all.
