I'm pretty new to the site, with 1 sell and 1 buy so far. Both of the games were about 400-500 points each. However I was wondering do you find it worth selling 100 point games? I mean, I have a ton of games just sitting on my shelf most of which I don't play anymore but I just can't get myself to sell them for 100 points. I made a conversion chart of my own for the site and figured that would be $5.00 = 100 points. Anyways, I also have to figure in shipping costs since the seller pays for it. I'm not really in it to make money but I would at least like to break even when it comes to buying and selling games. Anyways what do you think of selling your games for 100 points?

Shipping of most games costs $2.25 to $2.50 for shipping with DC depending on if its full package or less.  I ship them out all the time, and it has never bothered me.  If you use paypal shipping, you'll almost always pay around $2.50 at the most. I usually pay around $2.20 when shipping out a full package console game.

Also, reuse the bubble mailers you get, this saves you money and helps the environment.

So basically you are going to sell your 100 point games for about $2.50.  Not worth it in my personal opinion.  Think about it this way, you would have to trade 5 games for a 500 point game, plus you are going to spend $12.50 to ship those 5 games.  So essentially you are giving 5 games and $12.50 for a game you could just buy for $25.  Does that really seem worth it?

I agree, it's not worth it, I only sell high priced games, cheapest I ship nowadays is like 400

Seems worth it by about $12.50 to me...You are still making a profit and if all the games are going to do is gather dust I don't mind trading them...For instance I just got matched to send out Simpsons: Hit and Run for Xbox which is only 100 pts but it is a game I have beat several times and have no use anymore and those hundred points could help me in getting a good game I will actually play.

i think it is worth it if you really don't use those games or they are not part of your collection of games that will never be traded.

That is a good idea.

My thought exactly!  If I'm not playing it, I don't need it, and it's in my offers.  I'm quite happy to send any 100 point game to someone who wants it.  A lot of my sent out trades are from 100 point games, and it sure beats having them sit in a box in the basement wondering if I can get 50 cents for them at Gamestop...  Surprise

50 cents isn't even an exaggeration. Before Goozex as I was trading about 10 PS2 games and I asked for the individual value of each (luckily).. Had I not asked, I would have given away Jak and Daxter, complete with disc, manual, case, and the little map thingy for a quarter. They would have given me $1 if it "wasn't so scratched" (it only had 1-2 scratches), which is totally unacceptable. When you do compare it to Gamestop, you really do get a much better deal here on Goozex. I agree with you though. It's a personal decision and I too believe that sending a 100 point game is a waste of time and money, although recieving a 100 point is a whole different story Wink

Thing is - you have to ask yourself if you will ever want to grab some of the great 100 point games yourself?  It all balances out.

I got some special CD only mailers. It has a hard case and a firm cardboard sleeve. It costs about $1 to mail. On the 100 point games I ship disc only. So it isn't that bad of a deal. The 100 point games often to to newbies who never report recieving the game and never trade again, but with enough expierence here that is really no big deal.

i ship out everything i can, including full package 100 point games. those 100 points can add up after awhile. i really don't care that i'm only making a total of 20 or 30 points after costs. In the end it's still better than gamestop. Plus half of my requests are either 100 or 150 points, so i hope someone returns the favor.

I'm well aware that if I sit down and do the math, 100 point games are not very lucrative to send out.  At all.

However, I'm hoping there are a lot of people like me who list everything I have available in order to support the community.  The more games that are out there available, the better.  Just because a game is only worth 100 points, doesn't mean there's not someone out there who would love to play it.  If I can help with that, I surely will.

I find it worth it too ship 100 pointers. What else am I gonna do with a game I'll never play again? lol, and it's very convenient for me. Walk a few blocks downtown, fresh air, the promise of a new game on the horizon. Little things :).
