I had a friend who couldn't get his ps3 online. He could see some server games in orange box but couldn't ever link it up.
I tried the whole static IP and port forwarding business with him yet nothing happened. Still no go.
Then I told him to change his router to channel 11. Ta DA!
That worked. Somethingn so silly made a huge change.
Most routers will default to auto which is fine if it works. If your having problems, change the router to channel 11.

the wii virtually requires routers to be set to channel 1 or 11
