Anybody download and try Google Chrome yet? I'm typing this post on it and maybe I'm missing something, but what is it supposed to do better than FF?
I must say though -- it is very memory friendly. I haven't imported all my favorites so maybe that's what I'm missing.
It seems like it would be a very good and simple browser for kids/grandparents and the generally computer-inept population of the world. Which is a very big group that none of the other browsers cover while still providing all the important features.

I was hoping to find a portable version that i could run from a memory stick. My searching this morning has been in vain. I'm intrigued by the low resource usage, which would give me tabbed browsing from my memory stick at work, without as much lag as I occasionally get with FF.

So are you saying there's going to be a Goozex Chome?
I set it up and imported my FireFox bookmarks, and it looks and feels lighter ... but for some crazy reason I can't even log into Google for my Reader, Docs, etc. So until I figure that out (assume it is a work firewall thing) I'm on FF.

I was reading a post about the EULA on this...seems that by installing it you have given Google the right to sell your soul...or something along those lines

Yeah, as mafafu said it isn't an agreement but a reminder. All your soul are beong to us!
aack -- no scroll wheel button use for speed scrolling
I am a fan of the URL field to google search
Some may think that this is a huge blow to firefox and their business. I actually now see apple or microsoft buying mozilla to compete with Google in this area. Web browsers in 10 years will basically be operating systems.
Chrome is cool but I still love me some FF3
actually that's a good reminder -- has anybody given IE 8 a test?
I'm going to give it a try tonight. I woke up this morning to the news about it being released yesterday and read through the whitepapers and their comic book explaining the features and how it works.
Pretty snazy stuff. I used to use Flock, but I'm not one of those linked it to everything people who can't breath without twittering it, so it wasn't for me. For a long time, and now, it has been Firefox as my browser of choice.
My wife still has IE7 running on her system, I might try to push her to try Chrome ... IE 7 is a terrible pig.
Oh god, people still use IE, and they're still updating it? Here's hoping they finally figure out how to make css layouts work correctly.
Speaking of which, if Chrome does take off it just means another browser that you have to try and optimize your websites for
