Hey guys, we've been trading here on Goozex for about 4 months and it's been great so far. We've come across an odd situation here though so if we can get some suggestions it would be great.
We were matched to send a game out a couple days ago (disc + manual), the buyer sent a message asking if the full package was being sent to which I replied no as it's not listed that way. Then instead of actually requesting a cancel the user requested that WE cancel it. So I had obliged even though it knocked us out of queue. Well I put the game back as active and changed from disc + manual to disc only to ensure we were not matched again with the same fellow as I did not know if he had yet changed it on his end to full package. I had then gone to work and my husband was home, we received a match and my husband immediately packaged the game up, disc + manual not just disc. It was sent out right away as it's a long weekend and we would not have postal service until Tuesday pushing us over the "ship in 3 days" option. Now this morning I get an email from this same fellow who I cancelled the trade for....we were matched with him again unbeknownst to my husband and is now receiving the game. Now having done all this, cancelling for him, changing to disc only, he changes his own to disc only and not full package as he wants and gets matched on his own AGAIN! Now last night he sends a trade cancellation request to us saying " You didn't send the game did you!?" to which my husband replied that it was sent. Well I have another message here this morning, "You just offered a cancel when I said I didn't want just the disc...and then you ship it out...wtf man?". Can I get your opinion on this? Any suggestions? It's his own fault as far as we are concerned, we just opened our trading to the USA and it hasn't been fun so far lol especially paying $15 for shipping!
It is indeed his own fault. I would expect to receive a +5 or neutral feedback on this and for neutral you would have to contact the G-Team. I would politely PM the person and explain what happened. Chances are though responses from him may not be so polite.
basically what weapon said and this may help you out on the shipping part,

Thanks for the replies! I've replied to the user stating what had happened. Now do I need to contact Goozex about this situation? It really is rather absurd and what completely baffles me is I cancelled his request because he didn't want anything but the full package (which we don't have) but he then goes and changes his request to disc only?! Seems a little strange don't you think? Should I copy and paste my original post to Goozex?
Thanks for the link to the shipping thread but we have been thru the forums alot before we became active, covered what's important. It's sending with delivery confirmation that's so expensive in Canada, there is no cheaper way to send it with DC. No big deal, we're happy to save ourselves from dealing with the likes of EB games!

id hold out on contacting the G-Team quite yet as there technically isnt an actual problem yet
Ok thanks for the advice, I'll keep this post updated!
Well it appears the user is no longer a member here, the trade was closed by the system. Go figure, the only grief we've had so far and they've been banned or deleted themselves. I wonder what happen.
thanks for keeping us updated
as for the user, the world may never know

I live in Canada and have traded numerous games without delivery confirmation as the alternative of using something like xpresspost is too expensive. I have not run into any problems yet and doubt I will run into many problems in the future. Goozex users are generaly trustworthy and the post office rarely loses mail so paying $15 instead of $2 is an expensive failsafe. If the post office lost 1 out of every 5 items you sent out it would have cost you $65 extra in shipping to save one game from being lost. The post office is not that incompetent and goozex users are great so delivery confirmation is a huge waste of money for people in Canada. Im sure the post office is happy that you keep sending your games this way though.
Within Canada I have no problem throwing a couple stamps on and tossing the game in the mailbox but shipping to the USA takes longer than what Goozex allows so we use DC to cover our butts. We've only had 2 games go to the USA, but yes I agree, if every game had DC it wouldn't be worth it.
