Hello - i have a game entitled "Perditions Gate" - it is a retail disc with 32 level addon package for the Doom2 Hell on Earth game by ID Soft.

""Perdition's Gate is a 32-level Doom II PWAD designed by Wraith Corporation and distributed by WizardWorks on the D!ZONE Gold discs."" - http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/Perdition's_Gate -

Also "Demon Gate" - which is another Doom Addon (with tons fo levels)

""A large collection of Doom and Doom II WAD files - Demon Gate was compiled by downloading add-ons for Doom & Doom II off of the internet and then marketed to retail for those who did not have an internet connection. The disc comes with a utilitly called EasyWAD to help sort through all of the files."" - http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/demon-gate-666-new-levels-for-doom-and-doom-ii -

I had bought these addons at an AFFES on Oklahoma, and wanted to put it up here for any hardcore doom fans.

Hopefully, it will get listed soon. Thankyou

They will never get listed, for the following reasons:

- The disks weren't really 'commercial' releases, but done up by a low-budget / shareware house popular when 'net access was less common and muchslower (and software stores were much more common)

- They aren't listed as full commercial releases and therefore won't ever appear in the Muse database used by Goozex.

- At least in the case of Perdition's Gate, there is a case of violating the Doom EULA on not making something for commercial purposes without permission.

Finally, they are all available for download very easily at this point.  You should instead start a threat about your favorite Doom wads.

actully they are commercial - when i had bought them - they were everywhere. The companies who made them have since stoped - and i have never seen any news on them violating it. The way i see it - if i can buy it at a store, pay money, and have a UPC - then its in the system somewhere.

As far as violating EULA - Doom wasnt too upset it seemed, as they had given permision to the companies at first.

but ya - it sucks they cant be here, but if any1 cares, i will still sell em to you :D

At that time there were plenty of folks going around and compiling bunches of shareware and selling them on floppy or CD for $1.99 or something.  That doesn't make it a commercial release - you say that they have a UPC?  Interesting.  I still have a bunch of this stuff on floppies for the Mac in my basement ...

From one of your links "When this was noticed unlicensed software, id Software came knocking with a lawsuit and the software was removed from store shelves."

But not to belabor the point, I just don't see it happening.  I hope someone privately takes you up on the offer.

Wow, three "PC game not found" posts in a row.

Weird
