So here's my problem, first one I've ever had using Goozex. I shipped a copy of The Orange Box up to a buyer in Canada on the same day I shipped two games to people in the States. I used Delivery Confirmation for the two domestic buyers but that's not an option when shipping to Canada. Sure enough, I get the notice today that the Canadian has not received the game and is leaving negative feedback.
Now, the two domestic games have already been recevied with positive feedback left and I know I sent the game out. Is there anything I can possibly do to rectify the situation for each of us? I'd hate for him to not get the game but I know I shipped it first class when I said I did so is this just a case of it being lost somewhere in the Great White North?
I would try finding the phone number to the post office in that area, and calling it. See if they recieved the game. That's something I'd do.
I really don't think that's acceptable advice. You want OP to call a post office in Canada and have them check to see if it arrived there? How would they do that? There's no delivery confirmation and I would guess many 6x9 mailers go through post offices regularly.First, I would email goozex help. Tell them your side of the situation - I saw your profile, you don't have any other marks against you, so that's a positive. Secondly, the trader did mention that he would request a change in feedback if the game were to arrive - to me, that at least is recognition of the fact that games do take longer to get to Canada. In looking at other posts on the forum, that seems a likelihood that should be explored.I personally don't ship to Canada because of not having DC. I like some insurance on my side, too, that I'm getting (and keeping) my points to spend.

While I understand your hesitation, opening up Canada as a trading region usually helps speed up your request and Library significantly. I've been shipping to Canada, and never once had a problem yet in about 10 trades.
Psychlone is right in both his critique of the second poster's advice (Call up the Post Office? o.O Why in the world would they know about a specific package) and his advice. While you can email feedback@goozex.com about the issue, I would suggest waiting a couple of days. Occasionally, Canadian shipping takes a WHILE, damn customs. I myself have had atleast 2, if not more, negatives reversed because of slow shipping to Canada. The user hwo left the negative seems to be trustworthy, he has been a good seller and has never left a negative before this, so once the game arrives, I'm sure he'll take care of it.
If you wait a week, and the seller hasn't received it yet, maybe then you should check in with Goozex.
I have no qualms about the buyer, whom I think is merely another victim. Afterall, he's being denied the awesomeness that is Portal.
I emailed Goozex just in case, but I like the advice of sitting and waiting. It helps to know that other people have had the same exact issue. Thanks for the support but if it doesn't resolve happily for everyone, then I won't be sending to Canada again.
oh canada why so many problems with you ? WHY ?
It will probably show up soon. I've had multiple games take over 3 weeks to get here recently.

I echo magiic's experience. I've had games arrive after 3 weeks delivery to Canada about 20% of the time.

I can finally follow up my first posting here by happily saying: He got the game. It simply took FOREVER to get there. Thanks again for everyone telling me that's what the case would be.
Granted, now he has The Orange Box just after they announced that Team Fortress 2 would be getting an update this winter..

It just goes to show you what happens when your delivery system is based on moose transport!!!
Glad everything worked out - I can echo the 'slow but eventually' shipping, and have never gotten a negative as a result. Glad you can keep open your Canadian trading options!
