So i just got STALKER today and i cant even play it some german pop up comes up saying
Die page patei ist deaktivert odor die DategroBe Neicht aus

Can't you just tell him to go away? Maybe don't answer the door next time he pops up?

a pop up comes up saying some german, the game is made by a eastern european developer though hmmm

So this is while you are installing or trying to play?  Have you installed patches?  Did you select English as your language?  The game was released buggy, but is in reasonable shape at this point.

Looking around I could find a couple of references to this but nothing clear - and the only suggestion was to uninstall, reinstall and patch up to 1.004 before playing.

yea i installed it in english,downloaded the latest patch, but when i click on the shortcut icon the screen flickers and the message pops up

well it sounds like you pirated the game, if you bought a legal english version you should not have any problems

Considering it looks in his trading history like he got it off of this site then I highly doubt he has a pirated copy as he would have left negative feedback.

Maybe next time before calling someone a thief you should look into it a little further and try to use your brain before you type.
