Everyone has their preferences, but to you what was the most user-friendly and comfortable console controller you have ever used...(I will be very surprised if I see the original Xbox controller considering you needed to use your foot as well as two hands to play games because it was so damn big)

I personally feel the 360 controller is the best controller I've ever used for FPS games.  And the Dualshock controllers have been the best controllers for fighting games.  But I always loved the simplicity of the SNES controller for RPGs. :)

Worst is Dreamcast controller. thing used to give me cramps if I played too long.

Sure, if you have the hands of an infant. PS controllers are too smal and the analogs are far to close together. The 360 controller, for me, is by far the best.

That gets my vote as well.  I didn't like the trigger buttons though, but the thread is about the most comfortable controller, not buttons.

No controller has ever fit my hand as snugly as the Gamecube's controller. Too bad that it was plagued by an odd button layout, a poorly placed c-stick, and a dinky d-pad. I guess they were trying to force simplicity in game design by overemphasizing a single face button. It wasn't too horrible once you got used to it though.

The 360 controller wins for me when I weigh ergonomics and functionality together. It's not revolutionary, but it takes the most logical route and does it well. And, for the record, aside from the idiotic, miniscule, out of the way white and black buttons, I actually liked the original Xbox controller. Even more so than the smaller version they released later on. And, also for the record, I don't suffer from giganticism.

the 360 controller hands down. The dual shock is too small for my hands.

gamecube is most comfortable but also annoying because the lack of buttons means you have to do two or three button combos when on the PS2 it is one button

The gamecube only has one less button then the ps2. Also, my favourites are the 360 and gamecube controllers.

SNES controllers, blows away the gamecube by far in comfort, ease of use, and layout.

the only good PS2 controllers were the ones that came with a built-in fan, lol.  If they stuck those on 360 controllers I think it'd be perfect.

Genesis controllers were the most comfortable.
