First off,

 This is my first post to the forums since joining Goozex about a month ago. When I read the first reviews and descriptions for Overlord on the 360, it was one of the few games I was jealous I didn't have both systems (Fable 2 is the next big one). The concept of taking the play concepts of Pikmin in a "Fractured Fairy Tales" environment seemed so original. Now that the PS3 version is out, with all new bonus stuff, I no longer have to be jealous.

 I have a feeling though that this game will not do very well commercially though. Outside of the PSN demo I have seen zero advertising for the new release. When the 360 and PC versions were released the commercials were on every two hours on some networks. It seems strange that the enhanced version is getting so little marketing. Yesterday in an attempt to rent the title locally while I wait for Gamefly, I called over half a dozen rental places only to find that no one was carrying this title. It seems like if a title isn't Metal Gear or the next FPS no one cares. I hate it when original games (Shadow of the Colussus, Ico, Beyond Good and Evil) die just because the market is flooded with the same LCD, schlock.

 OK done ranting now but felt like voicing my complaint.

It's probably not being marketed because it's not only a rerelease but the original was not exactly a AAA title Not much profit to be made so they are not spending the money to begin with.

Personally, I place it in the pile of games with a great concept and mediocre execution. It was a fun game but got old very very fast. Most of my gripe with it was from the control scheme.

 Yeah, it does suck when great games go unnoticed, but I think consumers are also finding out a lot more information by word-of-mouth nowadays thanks to the internet and forums like this. I loved Beyond Good & Evil and was sad that it didn't sell a million and one copies, but low and behold, they're working on a sequel anyway!

Yeah I am looking forward to a sequel for BG&E, but I'm a little concerned with the gritter look of the trailer. The light-hearted animation was one of the things that kept the underlying message from feeling to heavy-handed. 

Guess they gotta appeal to the masses.I suppose they figured a main character with lifelike "curves"  instead of cartoony ones will help them get their product noticed. Paige is be one sweet looking piece of meat!

After playing the demo I didn't find the game all that appealing. But, I may have been expecting too much since I hadn't ever played it before.
