It's fun and I enjoyed it, but I was able to beat the Hard campaign in about 3-4 hours (I only had to play the last song more than once to beat it). I'm not adventurous enough to try to beat it on Expert. The song selection seems a little more aimed at easier Pop hits (because it is a DS game after all).
The name of my band was "CTCinder". Why? Because there is an 8 character limit for the band name, and it is a bit uncomfortable to play after a few songs (CTCinder was short for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). In the end, though, it's not that bad.
It definitely feels like a Guitar Hero game, but it does not give as much of a sense of being a (fake) rocker as the plastic guitar controllers do.
Overall, I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
