I've always been a fan of Penny Arcade, the comic and their charity work, so I'm downloading the demo now, I think its gonna be fun.
I'll let you know how my experience with the demo goes.

I have it, It's funny as hell. You don't need headphones as there's no voice acting other than the narator.

Yeah, I saw that, but the discussion was sorta limited to you 360 owners whining about the cost of downloadable games.
The battle system plays out like the ATB system from final fantasy, and it has timed defense button presses like Mario RPG. If you can live with that and are a penny arcade fan. You'll love it. Here's a sample of the dialogue.
Tycho: "I think I remember...were you staring in horror with your mouth agape?"Gabe: "Agape?"Tycho: "It means 'open'" Gabe: "You know what else means open? Open!
