Gamefly's online used game store offers a lot of great deals on used games.  Less than $40 for Uncharted if you are looking to get it (it seems a lot people are getting rid of their uncharted's here on Goozex though).  $33 for Mass Effect.  Stranglehold (which is crap) for $19.  Assassin's Creed for 30 and Burnout Paradise for 38.

Their 100% gaurantee claims their used games are pre-inspected with members getting free shipping.  What do you guys think? I know it would be kinda like the same thing to be getting them used from other Goozex users through this trading system, but they are really selling them a whole lot less than retail price (and less than what Goozex values them to be at) not to mention you don't have to wait if you buy from there.  Maybe you can buy them really cheap from there to trade them away here, idk.  The one bad thing I can see is that all sales are final.

I used to buy a few games from Gamefly via the Keep It option when I rented from them. Their games are always in decent condition and the manuals and cases are like new since they keep them while the game is being rented and send them out when someone buys that copy.

i noticed a couple games weren't worth it.  like assasins creed was the same used at gamefly as if you bought it new at gamestop.  but a great deal on mass effect i noticed

I only buy from gamefly vie the "Keep in now" option. Thats how I got my SSB Brawl for $45 when it was just released. I do subscribe to them now and then when there are a bunch of good single player games that I want to play.

One tip: If Gamefly is charging you sales tax, use google checkout and it wont charge you the sales tax Big Smile..at least for me that works..

Gamefly recently dropped the prices on a bunch of used 360 and PS3 titles.  There are a lot of good deals to be had.

I had a gamefly account and I just cancelled it.  I found it best to buy games using the keep it feature, once you already are renting the game.  If it's in good shape and a good price it's usually a good deal.  The couple of times I ordered a game that I didn't have to inspect first they came pretty beat and scratched.  They still play, but I wouldn't feel comfortable trading them to anyone else here.

That does, of course, assume that all decent games cost $56.07 each, purchased brand new at release, with 7% sales tax (Florida) charged on top of this.

This also hopes that whatever game you bought doesn't end up sucking really badly.

Some games end up being better as rentals only, of course, and that's what Gamefly is for.
(Heh, I remember paying $7 for a 3 day rental at Blockbuster before I forced them to close my account, so $20 for a month of rentals isn't bad at all.)

But hey, on the flipside, there's always someone out there who LIKES cra^W games that you find boring. :)
Guess I could trade it for points. ;)

I have been an active Gamefly user for a  few years now and even still find it to be a great service. I use it exclusively now to get the new release games that way if I like them then I can buy them at a discounted price. I just received GRID and the keep it price is only $42 if I decide I like it. I have purchased and then later traded quite a few games on Goozex such as DMC IV, Uncharted, and others. If you use your account and can wait an extra week to play a new release it is a great deal. Plus, if you are with them long enough they give you a $5 gift  amount to be used towards a future purchase every three months.

I guess you had better luck with the site than I did.  I had my account over a year and I only got a new release 2x.  In fact I rarely got a game above # 5 or 6 in my queue.  One time I had to call and complain that they hadn't sent me a game in over a week.  I had a 2 at a time rental plan and I had over 25 games in my queue, they had the nerve to tell me not one of those games was available, for a whole week.

It just so happend that Ironman was released that day and was in my queue so the rep. said he'd do his best to get it sent to me, which he did.  To bad that game was terrible.  I sent the game back two days later and cancelled my account.

That's pretty retarded.  You'd think for that ridiculous price they'd have an unlimited amount of each game to send to people.

I was considering trying it out, but if it's that hard to get new games (which is mostly what I'd be using it for) then I probably won't even bother.

It really all depends on how you manage your account with Gamefly, much like Goozex. I keep only new releases in my queue and when I know there is going to be a game I want I send the other one back (or purchase it) about a week in advance so they receive it. As long as you have an available slot when a new release, releases it will be sent to you. The shipping time is slow so you get it about 5 days later than everybody else but I would say you save on average about $15 on a $60 game. I'm going to be purchasing a game shortly so I can receive NCAA Football 09 when it releases.

I understand it's frustrating, but did you have it in your queue before the game came out? Because ifyou add it way in advance before the game is realease (kind of like pre-ordering) they'l make sure to buy a copy for every that has it listed before a certain date. :)

We're currently running a Shadowrun Tournament and constantly helping you get the most out of your games :) Come check us out today and tell them I sent you.

Hey Stranglehold is worth about $20.  Now the Simpsons game that's worth about $10.  I had good expierence with GameFly I got Condemned 2 and Army of Two both on the day they released.  I just don't play enough games right now to make Gamefly worth the money right now.

But every now and then I get one of those sweet emails offering me discounts to start my account back up.
