Im kind of confused? it is listed as 800 points? but isnt that the equivalent of buying it brand new? I just figured it would be less being that its used?

No, it is overpriced. It was made it to the Player's Choice so the real price should be 400 Points =$20 New.

Are you refering to the PSP version? If so 800 points is about right. It will go down 50 points each week if there is a need for it to. I thought you where refering to the PS2 version of God of War.

Games that are highly in demand often are priced in the same vein, a la Wii new releases and PSP new releases.  The game will come down, but not for a little while.  If you don't agree with the value or need to get the game immediately, then simply list the game in your queue and place the game on hold until it is priced as you see fit.

just figured id ask, still just getting to know how the system works sometimes. I just was thinking that usually new games are priced about ten dollars less on goozex, because of being used. But for a brand new psp god of war game its 40 dollars right? that would be the same price to get it on her used?

Well, because there is currently a 1000 point cap and the average retail price of a 360 or PS3 game is $60...it is from this that your assessment is coming from....however, if you look at brand new Wii games with a MSRP of $50, then you'll be coming up similarly Goozex point-wise.  Remember that most of us do not buy points, but trade our games in for points...and it is from these competitive trade-in values where some of us don't mind paying seemingly more for certain games.

Well as of this posting, the PSP version is the only one that's 800 points.  I was in Gamestop yesterday and it was $40.  That's market price right now.  Just like Nintendo milks some DS games for $40 (The World Ends With You, FF3), Sony milks consumers the same way.  As long as demand is high and the retail price is high, I think you can expect it to remain 800 points here.

It is because they are Square Enix games is why they have/had a $40 price tag.

 Think of it this way.

The game is pretty short. 5-6 hours for a single playthrough. The game is in demand. It is very easy to trade it back in for the same amount of points you paid.

Totally worth 800 points IMO. FYI, I just sent the game out this morning after beating it a couple of times. I may get it again eventually when it reaches a low point value.

Yeah, the game is worth about 800 points, but it really isn't that much of a great game. Short game and the only replay value is if you want to play the challenges or play as Kratos in a Spud costume or other costumes. Afterwards it gets really boring. Worth a rental though, unless you are a hardcore God of War fan then I guess it would be a must buy.

EDIT: Scratch that, just noticed it went up 100 points. Wow, might as well just buy it new at the store for much less.

yeah, its a stand out game point wise. Ill wait till it drops, i just love this place because I bought a psp just a few weeks ago and i alreayd have like 8 top rated psp games. all of them were very low in points because i waited quite awhile to get on the psp bandwagon. so if i have to wait for god of war for psp thats ok.

the god of war series is awesome though. number two pretty much played the same as one but i think im just addicted to the story so much i want to play them all.

Its totally worth 800 points, although I think its dropped to 700 now? Its just short. I beat it in a week of just pick up and play for a few minutes at a time. Not much replay value either... I just wish I hadnt bought it new for $40...

Short and a bit easy, but totally worth it. Then again I'm a huge God of War mark.
