I've had a couple of the cabela's adventures games and played some of those hunting games in the stores with the little orange shotguns tied to them and...I guess I just don't get it.
Maybe it's because I actually enjoy hunting and the experience is so much different with the game (and, for me, not as enjoyable). Anyone else into these games? Good at them? Do you also actually hunt?

They'd be better if they had a gun like old school Duck Hunt. As far as video games go, I suppose they're pretty good; I went into it expecting something more along the lines of a hunting simulator. It comes close to that, but doesn't quite get there.
I'm currently playing DOOM 3. Lots of wildlife in there. Does that count?

Ive tried a few of them. The last one I played was the Alaska one. They just arent really that good in any aspect.

They'd be better if you were hunting zombie deer, werebears, or something that actually fought back. Can you take your pick-up out and chase down small game with it. As twisted as it sounds, that might actually be a funny game to play.

I think they usually run away to fast to hit them with the trucks/ATVs/snowmobiles/etc. It's worth a shot though. I'd try it out on the one that I have, but all of my gaming time lately gets devoted to the new DS.
