In cases like these, where there are accessories involved, the main issue is whether or not the retail package is always bundled with the item, or if it's a limited run that has it included. For instance, an issue came up recently of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. While some runs came packaged with the GBA Link Cable, because later runs did not, you aren't required to ship it. However, I just took a quick glance at eBay, and it seems even the Player's Choice edition of Animal Crossing still have the "Memory Card Included" logo on it, so I assume it always comes with the memory card, and as such should be included in Full Package.
crunchy2:Yep - the greatest hits version does come with the memory card. Incidentally, does anyone know if it is possible to revert the memory card to factory state such that you can get the free items from it? We actually bought the game new, but missed out on the items anyway as it wasn't clear how you were supposed to get them. I tried visiting another town using the card and I think that then marked the card as not new, so then when I tried to create a town on the card (is that how you are suppose to get them?), we didn't get the free items. So anyway, is it possible to revert the card to factory state?
I don't think it's possible. The free gifts will show up in your mailbox. While they're rare, they aren't so rare that you can't get them through normal gameplay. So I'm not sure it's worth restarting your game for it.
When I requested it, I didn't expect to get a memory card, and when I trade it, I'll list it as a full package. Just about all used copies of this game don't include the memory card. People keep the card when they sell/trade their copy. If people expect to get a memory card with this game, then Goozex should raise the point value to like 300. Then very few people would get the game because 1) people don't have the memory card, and 2) people won't want to spend that many points w/o getting the memory card. So no, I don't think it should be included. The game's worth only 100 points anyway, that's a great deal even w/o the memory card.
toldawg128 offers some good information. I think that the best solution is as always communication.

I just requested Animal Crossing and I would prefer to get the memory card. As crunchy2 said, they should have two listings for this game.
Would be nice if an admin could chime in on this issue? I don't want to cancel a bunch of matches over and over to finally find one with a memory card.
Grrrr!!!!
So yeah, I got matched up. I sent the guy a PM about it, he didn't respond. then a day later he said that he had already sent the game without the memory card.
What should I do now?!
Well, Im not exactly mad and I'm not exactly happy. I just got the game and ended up leaving neutral feedback. To bad though, that game looks like it eats up tons of blocks on a card. (assuming this is why it comes with a mem. card)
