I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread  to list all of the DLC Rock Band as it comes out each week.  We should also list what DLC we have bought.

Feb. 5th

    B 52's-Roam

    Faith No More-We Care a Lot 

    KISS-Calling Dr. Love 

Each of these is two dollars or 160 points. 

Feb. 18th

    Red Hot Chili Peppers Pack-440points.

    Under the Bridge

    Otherside

    Universally Speaking 

Yeah my favorite band-can't wait for this one.

What is "Rock Band DLC" and do you have to pay for it in REAL money or do you earn money in the game that you can use to by songs?

DLC stands for Downloadable Content and is stuff that you can get through XBL or PSN, usually for a price to add more to a game.

Wish they would just add the content on to the disc, I'm not sure I'm going to spend much on the songs. I guess it would have to be a song I truly love. How is Rockband compared to Guitar Hero?

Some pretty decent songs coming up. I'm gonna go broke trying to keep up with all the DLC.

I think that the main thing that is better about Rock Band is that you don't have to buy whole packs, you can just buy one song at a time.  Yes there are three songs a week, but in my opinion not all of it is that great.  They have promised to start putting full albums up, but I am a little skeptical.  I would pay probably thirty dollars if they put Stadium Arcadium, the Chili Peppers new one on there.

Also the chance to play songs thru drums, mic., and guitar adds more value to these than GH2/3. When you are in world tour mode(must have at least 2 players playing offline) Rock Band will throw in your DLC songs at various gigs. Drums imo are best part of Rock Band and can be very humbling too!

How do you earn points on your 360 because you said "two dollars or 160 points"

MS points are purchased at stores on cards like the Wii points or through your console with a credit card.

Apparently the rumors over at Joystiq were wrong because still no Red Hot Chili Peppers.  However this is what dropped this week.

I joined the pledge to never support them again after the whole Napster fiasco back in the day. They said they were not above suing their fans who downloaded tracks, so I said I'm not against avoiding their sales.

It's a shame that I still uphold my promise never to buy anything directly from Metalica, but I'm not really missing their songs.

All of that seems like ancient history now.  I remember that.  Napster and Lars...seems like the world has changed since then, but it really hasn't.

It's a pretty simple thing for me, though. For some reason it's always the first thing that pops in to my heard. I hear the band's name, and I think of that incident.
