Basically, this is how the challenge works:
During the challenge period (this one will be 14 days), the goal is to rack up as many 360 gamer points as possible. At the end of the challenge, the group member with the biggest gamer score increase wins a prize.
The challenge is being run by 360voice.com, which some of you are already familiar with. That's the site that allows your 360 to "blog" about your gaming habits. For example, here's my 360's blog.
All it requires to be eligible for the challenge is a 360voice.com account (registration is free), an Xbox 360 Live Gold account, and residence within the USA.
The reward will be a $50 Best Buy gift card. Registration is now closed. Check back in a couple of weeks for a new challenge!

I don't think I could stand farming achievements as rigorously as I’d need to in order to have a shot of winning one of these… but would it be worth joining just for the heck of it? I wouldn’t be bringing the team down or anything by garnering 5pts or something stupid low over the 14 days…?

Nope, you should join even if you don't think you'll play. You won't drag anyone down. You'll help meet our player quota.

I think I'll pass this round so that I can finally finish Okami. Besides, my line was a sad practically straight little line. He had no chance to shine though made of AAA games.
