I'm wondering what people's opinion is of declining to send 100-point "Free" games to people who have just signed up.  I'm still fairly new, and have limited outgoing trade slots, two of which are probably going to have to wait for the 21-day auto close because they went to people who seem to have just signed up to get their free game.  I just got a request for another one and I would rather leave my last slot open for some higher point games.

Is it OK for me to decline trades from people with zero feedback?  Should I just remove all of my 100-point games or wait until I have unlimited slots before I offer them?  I hate to wait for three weeks for what amounts to $2-3 profit after shipping.

Thanks for your input!

Assuming you use delivery confirmation like you should, I don't see a problem with sending to new users.  I had a couple not give feedback so the system had to close it, but nothing really bad about dealing with the new ones.

It's not the points that I'm concerned about.  It's the fact that it uses a trade slot up for three weeks.

If you want you dont have to go foward with it . Personally my first and only experience with a new trader, was obvious that he was just here to get the free game and get the fudge out, had to wait for the 21 days, but thats ok though I still got my feedback.

Goozex allows a trader a great deal of freedom and choice, so it is your decision to make.  My personal opinion is that you should proceed with the trades, as you don't want someone necessarily singling you out and cancelling your possible trades, now would you?  That's my two cents, but it is your call to make.

I'm having this happen to me for the second time now.  I won't be trading to any new users without getting in touch with them through PM's or E-mails first.  Even then, it's a risk I think is alright to take, just so that Goozex can continue to grow.

It's okay for you to decline but why would you want to do that??? I would think you would want to help them open the door and welcome them to Goozex...if everyone declined cause they were new... well, I guess I wouldn;t be here right now!!

I don't see a problem with trading with new users. I've just accepted the first one, and I used delivery confirmation. Regardless, you will get positive feedback and your credits if they choose not to come back.

As was said, a nice pm/email before accepting the trade can do wonders. If they respond, great. If not, it's your right to decline the trade. I personally try to avoid declining new users, but I'm sure we can all relate to having tons of games to send out and only a few slots when we were new to the site.

I went ahead and accepted it. I stuck a reminder about feed back in the PM I gave with the DC number.

I just hope I get some feed back soon from someone. I don't want to miss out on any trades!

If the DC shows delivered wait a few days, if you still don't get feedback PM feedback @ goozex.com and give them the number.

well, I am a new user. This site is awesome. BUT I sent out my first trade (with the DC of course) and after it was delivered I sent a pm to the dude and he did not respond :(    I guess this means that I have to wait the 21 days to get more points so i can get a game that i would like to have.

anyway, I DO think that a pm before sending the game is a good idea.  Wish I would have thought of that before I sent mine

So i assume I just wait for my points after the 21 days and dont need to contact anyone?

I'm a newbie. I have two games already sent to people. They didn't have sent or received are their profiles, yet that had been in the system for about a month. I was a little reluctant. I figured, what the heck, and mailed them both with a dc.  I pm'ed the people afterwards and gave them the number.  Both replied back to me, so fingers crossed.  One is already delivered, not yet with feedback.  I can wait.  People have other stuff to do.

I did get a match today for a game I wanted.  Since I didn't have points yet, I bought some.  I hope the other person doesn't turn me down, due to being a newbie.

In short, I agree with the others.  PM the people and see if they respond.

There is nothing wrong with sending to new members. If you use delivery confirmation and after a few days you see the game has arrived and you have attempted to PM the buyer and they do not reply after a few more days, then send an email to feedback @ goozex.com <no spaces> and see if they will speed up the feedback process.

Does delivery confirmation cost extra, or is it a free service?  I'm not opposed to using it, but money is already tight for me, and I can't justify spending too much extra just to make sure that people aren't ripping me off.  It's not that I don't want to, it's just nowhere in my already tight budget.

Waiting 21 days to give us our feedback for hit and run traders who are only using the sign-up bonus to get a free game is a little unbearable.  I understand that they wait three weeks because shipping delays could've come into play, but when waiting on points that you should already have makes you inelligible for trades, it can start to feel a little unreasonable.  I'm not complaining though, but yeah, it would be cool if there was a way to speed up the process.
