what games are good in the way of RPGS (that preferably don't make you HAVE to use the internet) Puzzle games, Adventure games, Action Games, and Simulation games? i mean for both the xbox 360 and the original xbox....
also, how many games are currently backwards compatible for the 360?all?or only some?
what are some good buys/cheap and easy to find games that you guys (and gals LOL) reccomend?
i already added alot to my request list so i don't forget which ones i want to search out via pawn shops and other places, but i want MORE.

Bump to get some suggestions....
Hmmm, well i think for RPG's, you should look at Eternal Sonata. A little long on cutscenes and whatnot, but it is in the vein of the "Tales of" games. Another would be Blue Dragon, but it is sort of simplistic. However, it is designed by some of the core people who brought us Final Fantasy, so that was always a plus for me. None of the emo stuff, the classic Final Fantasy.
OVERLORD, you must get the game and adore it for its awesome humor and lovely bleakness. Think of a cross between Pikman and Fable and you get a general idea. A little glitchy but cool all the same.
And, if you dare, go online and download Puzzle Quest. You won't regret it.
I don't have a 360 but my brother does and I play on his system sometimes, the following games I found fun or entertaining.
- Oblivion (two versions, original is $30 or lower, GOTY is $60)- Mass Effect- Bioshock- The Darkness (I have it for PS3, it is hit or miss with some people)- Assassin's Creed (Repetitive after some time, still fun)- Command and Conquer- Lost Planet- DOA 4- Call of Duty 4- Gears of War
Other Games I heard a lot about- Blue Dragon (RPG)- Eternal Sonata (RPG)- Crackdown (Action?)- Orange Box- Halo 3 (If you are into multiplayer online)- Viva Pinata

Here is the current list of xbox games that you can play on your 360 (taken from microsoft):

It's a fair number of games. Don't do what I did - I ordered a game through Goozex, only to find out it wasn't playable on the 360, after I received it. Doh! That sucker went right into my games offered list. lol. I only found 1 other game out of the many I was requesting that wasn't compatible. Luckily, neither was an xbox exclusive.
As far as good games, one site I like to use is gamerankings.com. You can easily sort by genre and system to find the games that got good reviews.
Puzzle Quest is just plain addictive.

taintedzodiac: Puzzle Quest is just plain addictive.
Indeed it is. I just got my warrior to level 50 yesterday and am now contemplating playing through the game again with a different class.
Goozex Forum Moderator I'm Playing: WoW: WotLK
For original xbox:
KOTOR I & II
Jade Empire
You have to get Oblivion, it's by far the best RPG I have ever played and it takes about a lifetime to beat all the quests and sidequests. I also recommend Bioshock (dont know if you were looking for FPS) Its really deep, great graphics and alot of fun. If you have a 360 and don't buy those games, u must be nuts. For old xbox I would say Fable is a must have although i thought it was a bit short.
Oblivion DOES look good!
thanks for all your suggestions....most were already in my request list (on hold so i can find out what games i'm looking for in my city) as finding, and putting all those games in my wish list on AMAZON lol.
but a few i didnt know about, and thanks for the backwards compatible list and the gamerankings site.
i don't know if i'll have internet for quite some time, so if i disappear and or people are complaining i don't give feedback or accept requests from others, please, realize i dont have internet!
its most likely going to get cut off mid tommorrow, so i'll say it now:
MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, AND HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR GOOZEX!
Cheers,
Bioshock & Oblivion are awesome. I totally recommend both. For Xbox games, The Bard's Tale, Sid Meier's Pirates & Oddworld Strangers Wrath are all amazing. I also liked Kameo for the 360-it's a pretty cheap game nowadays, too.
If money is tight think about the Orange Box. There's alot of content there. Try to get a year subscription for a Christmas present. Life is not good without Multiplayer!
