Simply one of the best rhythm games available, on any system.
Sure I'm a little - ok, more than a little - bitter that I had already bought the PS2 version before they announced a 360 version. And that the 360 version has no online multi-player. And that the additional downloadable songpacks are insanely overpriced.
My gripes aside, Guitar Hero II is an amazing game that is even more fun with another player. I just wish they would offer a songpack that included Cowboys From Hell.

I really enjoy Guitar Hero 2. I have always hated rhythm games; it was a genre I completely ignored. I was very hesitant to get Guitar Hero because of this, but all the reviews and constant acclaim the game received broke me down and I bough it. I am glad I did, the game is very addicting and fun. I think the main reason for its appeal is the guitar controller, if it was played with the regular controller it wouldn’t be the same. It’s the rock star fantasy, as I have absolutely no musical talent.
The DLC is just too expensive, $2 per song is ridicules, if it was half that price I would consider it. Ace of Spades is one of my favorite songs but I refuse to pay that much to play it on GH2.

One Rhythm game to rule them all....For now anyways. GH2 takes that inner fantasy of being a rock star that all of us have and puts right in front of all of us to reach out and grab. The game has seventy songs to play through on four difficulties, which make the game just as hard as you want it to be. There are several different arenas that you can play in, but again the music is what makes this game phenomenal some of my favorites are can't you hear me knocking and dead. This game is great because you can go from rags to riches just by picking it up every once in a while, the hard part is putting it back down. Going from hitting one note at a time to nail the solos is awesome. The downloadable content did end up being a rip off and you will need to spend 60 on another guitar to get achievements.
