I've found Mario Party 8 to be a great party game but pointless to play solo. The graphics are bright and colorful and the Wii remote works nicely for the mini-games.
Whether or not the game is worth your time depends on if you intend to play it with other people. This is defintely the type of game where the more, the merrier.

Honestly, it's been so long since I played it that I don't remember much about the graphics other than that they are fairly jaggy and crappy, like most Wii games. I do remember that it didn't display right on my original Westinghouse 1080p TV, but it wasn't just that game. The Wii itself didn't play well with it. I've been through two TVs since then and they both display properly.
I recently Purchased this game when we got our new Wii. We only have 1 wiimote, so we are limited on multiple player abilities. SO, we only can do certain ways of playing. As it is, I feel our family enjoyed it at first, but got bored with it quickly. Once we aquire another remote, it may be better, but as it stands, I was somewhat dissapointed with it. The graphics are ok, but not spectacular. I would trade for this game to give it a try, but I wouldnt not spend the full price if I had the chance to do it over.
