Well, I was the only bidder on an auction that I was watching for about a week now. It's almost entirely Playstation 1 games, and many many of them are import Japanese titles (so I can't list them on Goozex). I'm just wondering what you guys think of the games... a lot of them I never heard of, but some are real gems (the import DDR's...I got almost all of them in one fell swoop!). I paid $100 for the entire auction and $20 shipping. Not bad for this many games if you ask me, but I'd love your opinion...Included Games:
So what say you guys?
Well, It certainly looks like a good deal because you get a bunch of games and you said some are rare.
And if you like those old PS1 japanese import games, then yeah.
I think that if you enjoy what you got here, it's worth a lot more than 2 Xbox 360 games (120$)
Hehe why else would I buy an import playstation otherwise right? But yeah, I think it's a great deal ... the two Xbox 360 comparision is a very fitting one...because obviously a game system and 30 games or so plus controllers and accessories seems like a very good deal. I'll probably Goozex some, sell the others and keep the rest in my personal "dust-collecting" collection =P I appreciate the feedback ^_^

Jealous, DDR games are fun :)

I own just about everyone now (including the somewhat hard-to-find DDR Mario Mix for Gamecube) :) I'm only missing the Xbox ones and the first two PS1 ones (the original and Konamix) as well as the Disney DDR. I had them ages ago but sold them for some odd reason. Time to buy them again =PI never even heard of "Oha Station" honestly lol. Can't wait to try it out.
I'm a DDR fan myself. I'm not very good, in my prime I could A some Heavy songs. I actually picked up Konamix off of Goozex, I think it might have been my first game, so you're just a couple months too late. I actually never played it... might be time to pop it in the PS2...

I have those two. I never been an avid collector, I need to start picking up all the PS2 versions.
it's by far the best of the PS1 games (non-import anyhow), and the one that really got me into DDR because of my friend who had it. If you ever do put it back up on Goozex I'll be eagerly awaiting it ^_^ I still have the problem of collecting games and not playing them, something I thought I'd alleviate through Goozex but I think I just added fuel to the fire =p hopeless! I can just picture myself being 85 years old, retired, sitting on my couch in front of a 200 OLED TV (or perhaps holographic or whatever we have in 2067) trying to catch up on the thousands of games in my backlog. I'll definitely be the busiest gamer in the old home that's for sure.
except I think the newest one which I didn't know was out yet. I'll pick it up eventually :) I still haven't completed all the other ones yet. There's only so much time for dancing around like a maniac in your apartment haha. I actually will be the first to admit that I'm not very good at DDR on anything harder than standard, but that's fine. I don't think the game needs to be wicked hard to be enjoyable...same with Guitar Hero. I seldom stray from the easy/normal/somewhat hard modes as I don't really find it enjoyable when it's just raw memorization or finger-bleeding-note-strumming. I guess that makes me a casual hardcore gamer haha.
Same here, I can't do standard very well, but I still have fun. I made a hard wood pad for myself, worked fine, but I think I wrinkled the mat and now it doesn't register very well. Um some DIY project, hardwood board that was the size of the mat, plastic cover over the mat to keep it in place, staple gun the plastic. My friend borrowed it 4 years ago and has not returned it. *shakes fist*
Anyone who goes out of their way to make a homemade pad definitely likes the game :) that's for sure! I've always been tempted to go out and buy one of the professional grade metal ones, but I've heard great things about DIY ones as well. I have issues with the Konami soft mats not registering my moves and it seems all the expert players have hard pads, so there may be something to it...though I still have trouble with harder songs in the arcade too, so I think it's a combination of the pad and my general lack of coordination on the dance floor hehe.I have a lot of friends that "borrow" things and never give them back...I'm still reeling over my entire Cowboy Bebop DVD set...and that was like 6 years ago ...doh!
Ouch. Go shake him/her down. I can still get my pad back, but I haven't been playing lately so that would be pointless. Yep, same friend who took my pad, also bought the metal pad. I'm not too thrilled about it. I had a harder time of hitting the buttons because I kept thinking I would break the board. I'm probably biased but I like my homemade one more. Just need to replace the pad and build another matching one for double play.
if I had my own house too, so that I wouldn't need to worry about waking up my neighbors on all three sides of me (left of my townhouse, right of my townhouse and in the apartment below me). The first thing I do when I get my own house (as long as I have enough distance from my neighbors) is crank up the Guitar Hero/DDR/Rock Band and just let it all out...I've always wanted to and still never had a chance. Darn apartment complexes and late-night-grave-type-shifts at work =P
