Does anyone know of any games that are similar to ToeJam & Earl III and the Ty the Tasmanian games. I love those games and wish they would come out with more. I know that the Mario games are sort of similar but are there any others? I like exploring different places, doing missions and having to collect items. I have the original Xbox and a Gamecube. Thanks for any info!
I would recommend Beyond Good and Evil, Sphinx, Ty 2, Scaler, and Psychonauts...off the top of my head. These are the types of games that I most enjoy. Not all of them are classics or best evers, but they are imho better than the two that you listed.

Hey, mariana, it sounds like you're a PLATFORM game fan. I'm generally a PC gamer, butI love playing PLATFORM games on the consoles. I would recomend you pick up a Playstation2. They are cheap ($120 new) and they have a TON on PLATFORM exclusives like "Jax and Daxter" (3 games), "Rachet and Clank" (another 3 games), and "Sly Cooper" (yet another 3 games series).
Check out the Blinx games, and I liked Voodoo Vince & Oddworld as well. You might enjoy those.
From what you described, you might like Pirates! as well, and possibly the Bard's Tale (if you like sarcastic humor & the princess bride, you'll enjoy that one).
the sonic collection is pretty good
Yeah, I would highly suggest getting a PS2 if you're into those types of games.
