Unfortunately this one isn't Goozex material, since it's an MMO tied to the CD Key. I played in the beta but have been reluctant to start another monthly fee. Anyone playing this and enjoying it?

I was thinking the same thing-it looks cool, but I don't like taking on monthly costs...I'm thinking I wouldn't have the time to devote to it to make the costs worth it.
I am playing it for review, and have to say that I wouldn't pay the $30 ... let alone the monthly fee. It is a very mediocre game that has loads of grinding that feels like grinding, mediocre RPG elements and mediocre shooter elements.

I play it, maybe twice a week, and I enjoy it. I am in a clan that does missions and attacks/hold control points, and that is a lot of fun with friends. If you're soloing, then I can understand how it would feel like a grind. Also, the game has a nice atmosphere, conductive to roleplaying, and I've found that my experience with the game is much better when playing with roleplayers which running missions, etc.
I think the problem with mmos and games like Tabula Rasa is that people may be expecting a little too much from them. In my opinion, as an mmo, what TB does, it does pretty well.
I guess it is all about the social, then ... because trying to objectively assess the individual components the game falls pretty flat compared to anything else I've played - not terrible, just lackluster.
So is there even a single player campaign with this game, or is it just multiplayer?
Its a multiplayer game, but there are solo quests. I'm playing a support class and having difficulty soloing most missions. I prefer to play with others but lately I haven't been getting into groups and the game just isn't much fun playing solo (no mmo is much fun playing solo in my opinion).
I'm sorry I tried TR LATE closed beta and was SOOOO disappointed. I couldn't believe Richard Garriot put his name on this pile of steaming dung. I could learn to love WoW if this was the only alternative.... and I really HATE WoW! TR is not worth it even if the game and the monthly fee was free.
Go to GWs and avoid the fee. It's a much better game. Or Go to LotRO and at least pay a monthly fee for a game that's worth it. Not just my opinion anymore LotRO has won just about EVERY award for 2007 and right now you con get it for $9.99/mo. if you prepay 3 months!
Playing LotRO and beyond loving it. Playing GWs when I can't get caught up in the too-addicting LotRO.
