1. The suggestions forums is OK at best, it is an endless sea of words from insatiable users, such as myself. If you could add a suggestions page, where suggestions can be rated by users with either a positive or negative point, very much similar to what digg does with news posts. I believe it will be easier for the users to "bury" bad and unwanted suggestions (e.g "durr free games! Durr...") and notify other users and the devolopers and geniuses of this site to good and wanted suggestions (e.g. this one).

 2. Goozex could benefit by having the users be able trade points freely between each other. For unnecessary example, if a friend needs 50 more points I could just give his account 50 points through a transfer page, similar to wiring money, but much, much more important.

 3. Instead of mailing directly to another user, a seller could mail to the Goozex offices (which I imagine is a huge military complex with it's own harsh form of law enforcement run by ninjas) and then Goozex could handle the shipment to the buyer. This, in effect, make trades more secure and your personal information more secure. The only problem I can foresee is it would raise the cost for trade points.

 4. My last suggestion for the night is a simple one, direct trades. Let's say I have a friend I met through the site, and he really wants to Super Paper Mario for the Wii, but man that line is looooong. Well, it just so happens I have a copy I want to get rid of for points, I should be able to trade him my copy for the designated point value. This isn't a major problem, but I think it would promote more community interaction.

 Thank you for reading this.

 My thoughts on your suggestions.

1. I haven't seen too many lame suggestion posts as of yet...maybe if it becomes a problem this might become a more needed feature, but so far the vast majority of posts have been valid thoughts/wishes, even if they're not functional-usually with some explanation/clarification people get their answers, and all of them are food for thought. We don't seem to have too many beggars here as of yet.

2. The transfer feature isn't a bad idea, maybe they could set it up so you could transfer to people listed as friends? not sure how the logistics of this would work on an automatching system.

3. This would slow down trades immensely, and goozex would likely have to multiply their staff by a significant number. This seems to add an unnecessary step to the process. Addresses are public information-this doesn't make anything more secure. It's not as if you're handing out your phone number & SSN with every trade. If you're worried about "security", simply use the goozex return address, or get a PO Box.

4. There are plenty of other direct trade sites out there-gametz & tradegamesnow come to mind. heck, eBay even works like that since what you're suggesting is being able to sell your games for points to the person of your choice. The match system is meant to be fair & equitable, so no favorites-everyone gets an equal shot at games, including newbies.

I think animallyson hit the spot on the responses, but I'd like to add a few of my thoughts.

1) I personally don't see any problems or concerns with the way the forum is.  The free form nature has been good.  Yes, it requires a bit more reading and effort, but all in all, I think that the good or better suggestions have been implemented.

2) This has been discussed.  I understand that there is an unwillingness among certain members to actually buy points, but we all have to realize that this is a viable option.  If points are needed, buy them.  Points can be earned by means other than by sending games away.  So, I think that there are more pressing concerns than the possible logistic nightmare of transferring points around at one's whim.

3) This is an even bigger logistical nightmare and solves nothing.  You do know that you can print out the Goozex provided mailing sheet, thereby, eliminating all of your security and privacy concerns.  The Goozex mailing sheet allows you to use Goozex as the return address.  Further, sending games to a 3rd party would be doubly costly for all parties involved and it would slow down the process tremendously.  Not only would there be costs involved in hiring more staff simply to open, double-check, and remail games with additional postage...but would you be willing to supplement that additional cost.  I don't think so, and I am confident that one of Goozex' best selling points is its efficiency and affordability...and your idea kills both.

4) Ditto.  There are other trading sites for this need.  GameTZ is an excellent site and is a "friend" and business "partner" of Goozex.  Check their site out with the blessings of the Goozex team.

See - he is right, we should be able to vote on these Wink

I can't add much more than to say that most users have these feelings at one point or another.  I joined in the early days and it wasn't until very recently that I had any negative experiences at all, and they are still grossly outweighed by all of the good.

I think that delivery confirmation takes so much of the worry out of sending games, and especially with the cheap option linked by rictor it is something that everyone should do to never worry about the other person getting the game.

Direct trading - like they said.  It would short-circuit the system and basically ruin things.

1. This is just more convenient for all parties involved, as a game design & development student, I need to know what my users want. The suggestions forums have no really good way to interpret which suggestions are what the community wants without researching and reading posts. You might think, "If they really want to they'll look into it and read as much posts as they can...", but here's the thing developers would rather get to work making the site, rather than searching for what to do. All this will do is make your suggestions more accessible to everyone. Making a page like this won't be very hard, since it can be done with a very basic sort.

 2. This suggestion is unimportant, and has a valid basis but it is unnecessary and not worth my time to argue for a  superfluous option

3. Well, the way I see it, having a secure trade with confirmation by Goozex would attract alot more users. Yes, it might cost more, but with some research it could be very affordable. The problem is what some of you have said is that it would cost too much, but as a business Goozex has the incentive to improve its services to the users. If they are able to find a way to make this possible and keep prices the same, people would flock to a secure trading site. I know a lot of people who would rather stick with a game, because they don't trust people on the internet, and should they? They don't know you, what kind of person you are, and if you're an honest trader. I only mentioned the extra bonuses of not having to give your address out to anybody, because it's just an extra bonus on top of a 100% secure trade. If you're only argument is that it's hard or expensive, you are just obstacles to be overcome. My professor has said, "When something is hard it's a lot of time, when something is impossible it just takes a little longer". So instead of being negative, why don't you put the little space in between your ears to use, and think of a possible solution.

 4. Yea, the direct trading is another superfluous idea of mine that I get when I'm in design mode. I listed them here to get feedback, and some I thought are still good solid ideas and others I have deemed unimportant. I do want to say this though, I am surprised that insults have not been hurled and that there were honest replies (while negative or not).

Thank you for reading and have a good night!.

All of your concerns are assuaged by the better-than-most, if not superior, customer service that we have all been witness to here at Goozex...and Goozex's 100% Guarantee.  If you are an honest trader, you have nothing at all to be worried about for you will be protected, and your points are secured.

I mean no disrespect towards Goozex at all! In fact, it's a wonderful land of video games and faeries and I love it. These suggestions don't stem from complaints; I only offer these suggestions so that Goozex can expand and become bigger and better. I use the site and I have no complaints about it, but improving the site is never a bad thing.

Wait! Did two people just come to a peaceful resolution of differences on the internet? What is this world coming to?

That is something to appreciate - we will often disagree, but hopefully can do so in a mature and respectful way.  We're all gamers and just want to keep on gaming - and pretty much everyone I've dealt with tries to be fair and responsible and even more so with the recent changes that discourage 'new users gaming the system'.
