I eagerly picked this game up when it was released for the Xbox due to the fact that my PC can barely even run the original Doom. If I recall correctly it didn't get the warmest reception, but I had no complaints about the game. It was damn creepy and there were lots of guns - two great tastes that taste great together. I did pick up the limited edition and played round with the bonus features for around 15 minutes before the nostalgia wore off and I wanted to jump back into the main course at hand.
This game is compatible with the 360, and is worth picking up if you're looking for a hell-in-space shoot em up. It may have had some tacked on multiplayer but I never fired it up so I can't comment on that part. I did do co-op once or twice which was alright.
I always meant to pick up the Ressurection of Evil expansion pack but I never quite got around to it.
