Do I really have to attach Goozex's label to my envolope or can I put my own label that I got from the post office on it?
You do not have to use the goozex label. I dont think I have ever used the goozex label to be honest.

You can use the Goozex mailing address if you so choose to keep your mailing address confidential, so Goozex gives the use of your address as an option. I also use my own address.

Just make sure that you get the buyer's address correct :) Obviously using Goozex's label is a sure-fire way to make sure of it, but I personally use my own labels printed on a spiffy little thermal label printer ^_^ Never needs ink and the paper I get free from UPS/FedEx...woo hoo!

Tell us more about this printer of yours.
Okay guys, well I plan to make a full thread about this in the near future (I'm currently remodeling my office space in my computer room and it's totally messy as I'm moving all my paperwork around, along with games, etc.) but in the meantime let me tell you this much. The Zebra Eltron 2844 Thermal Label Printer I use is one that was standard for UPS/FedEx for many years (and actually still used in many locations). It's a thermal printer that requires no ink to print and holds large rolls of sticker sheets. Each sheet/label is approximately 4" x 6" long and is peelable ...so you just print, peel and stick it on your package. The Zebra company is the number one label printer company and new these types of printers often cost $300-$600 or more even, but on eBay you can easily find them for cheaper. I paid about $60 for mine SHIPPED as mine was refurbished but it works wonderfully. The newer models support USB printing directly, but the older 2844 models (like mine) need a standard printer-to USB adapter. The labels themselves can be purchased on eBay for CHEAP (I bought about 200,000 labels for something like $20) or you can get them for free with FedEX membership and such. I will give out more information for those who are interested. Another nice thing is that this is one of the standard printer models for Paypal's Shipping program online so if you already use Paypal's Shipping, this is really a no-brainer for you traders who trade frequently ^_^Good luck! Everyone who has bought one of these as per my recommendation has LOVED it =)
Thanks for the posting. I've got to look into these bad boys a bot more. Totally up my alley, and it looks like a cool little toy.
Whoa whoa whoa. That looks nice. SOLD!
It's saved me probably hours of time over the last two years of having to print out on standard computer paper, cut out the paper and tape it onto a package. Instead I print and peel, stick it on and it's done. A lot of the time I'll but a single piece of shipping tape over the address also to protect it from rain and such. Just make sure you buy a used one..the new ones are way too expensive. If you need labels just ask :) I have TONS (boxes of them!). ^_^
I dunno, cheapest I see them on eBay these days is about $70+shipping. It's a nice tool, but the cost of entry even for someone who ships daily for myself is just a bit too high. I personally have a very cheap source for everything it replaces (paper+tape), so I don't think I'll be picking up a 2844 anytime soon.

I might look into this as I cannot stand ink expenditures....and having the ease of printing on a sticker sounds nice to me. I, too, would place tape over the address to prevent any address smudging.
Definitely, the price has gone up a little bit (probably because of the holiday season and what not) but for me it's been a lifesaver in terms of time and ultimately money saved. Really the biggest issue is that it doesn't use any ink and that the paper is free or next-to-free. Over time shipping a couple hundred packages, it adds up fast. If you ship a package a day I think this thing will pay for itself in a year or less honestly. Definitely not for everyone though :) Maybe I'll sell mine for cheaper if I ever upgrade to a newer model ^_^ For now I'm sticking with my little 2844.
I don't get any money for referring them (wish I did haha) but I buy all of my printer's ink from a company called Abacus...they sell really, really cheap desktop inkjet ink and one $25 order from them generally lasts me a year or more (and I do full color prints almost every day of the year). Their website in case you're curious:http://private.abacus24-7.comI think their private sale is over, but even their normal prices are FAR better than anywhere else I've shopped online or off. I originally found them through eBay, so if you want to order from them and would like to boost your eBay feedback you can always look them up on there as well. They're a great company and I got my ink about 2 days after ordering them. They're FAST :) Just a heads up for those of you who don't have label printers ^_^
Any ideas whether or not one is able to print shipping labels from PayPal's shipping system on this bad boy? I use PayPal shipping to print all of my mailing labels and postage and love the reporting ability that it gives me from within my PayPal account (plus the fact that I just print them out on the laser at the office... )
The reason I hadn't looked into a label printer for my mailings is because of the postage printing, but if it will do that too... it sounds like an excellent solution.
