Band Together and ROCK! (At Rock Band)

So, anyone besides me lay down the $170 (Well, less for me. Employee Discount FTW!) needed to get a Rock Band bundle on PS3? If so, we should get together and play. As you can see in my sig, my PSN ID is ChaosSnake, so hit me up with a friend invite if you want. 

I bought it for the 360. No rocking together for us.

I bought it and it was supposed to arrive at my house today but sadly it has not :( I guess I will just have to wait until tomorrow! 

I'm being a bad Goomba and reselling it (can't help it, that's what I do ^_^). Mine is for the 360 and I would DEFINITELY play and rock out with you guys but my wife told me already that it has to leave the house by tomorrow. I guess seeing the $184 (after taxes) that I paid for it was a bit too much for her =) Oh well, looks like I'll make a cool $50-$80 profit judging by the looks of the average eBay prices. Tell me what you guys think of it in comparison to Guitar Hero ^_^ Those drums look wicked cool. 

I can tell you that guitar on Rock Band sucks plain and simple!!! My friend has Guitar Hero 1-3 for the PS2 and he tried it at the local Walmart. So you know, he can do expert and get 300k easy, but....he failed on Medium :(. I HATE the guitar I HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!!! With that out of the way, I love the Drum Set. Being a drummer it made me remember what it felt like playing for the first time. And for some reason playing it with Left Flippy on made it seem so much more "Normal" to play it. I play using my right hand to keep beat with on the high hat and left for snare. So my arms are crossed, that was the way I was taught to play even though I quite High School Band my Sen. Year because of the teacher. But anyways, the demo they have does not have the base drum petal so it did not feel correct. When I get this I will have to locate my "throne", that's what drummers call the seat their "throne".

Cool beans. Sorry to hear that the guitar sucks for Rock Band...I've heard quite the opposite in the past so I wonder what the difference is. I guess being a store demo model there's always a chance that it's been abused by several young children and immature adults, so I hope the guitar isn't as flimsy as you experienced. I owned the Guitar Hero III for the Xbox 360 (wireless Les Paul) and I actually did prefer my old wired PS2 one. I ended up having to return it because it had issues with the whammy bar and frets, but now I just picked up the Wii version yesterday. Haven't had time to play it as I just got back.

The drums do seem seriously cool though. Even cooler is the fact that you play real drums and can give us your opinion on Rock Band's ability to simulate the experience. Good luck and enjoy the game everyone!

Hope you don't mind playing in Mono sound. There's a bug in the Wii version that means it always outputs Mono.
 

That is a bit disappointing I have to say. I was willing to accept no achievement points, gimped online play, downgraded graphics and no downloadable content....but mono sound output? Hmmm that may be a deal breaker for me :( The guitar looks so cool with the Wii-mote in it, but I dunno .. I'm pretty happy with my surround sound system. Maybe I should have just kept my Rock Band after all lol. 

Geez, Mono is a deal killer for me.  That's awful.  How could they allow such a bug!?!?  It's a music game, after all. 

From what I've heard it's not as noticeable as you would think, and I believe that sound still comes out of both speakers but that it's not true Stereo. Rather it's one single track played out of both left/right. I'm not sure though on how true that is as I haven't opened my copy and now I'm afraid to for fear that it's going to sound awful. Even NES games had stereo sound if I'm not mistaking.

Anywho, back on topic... just walked into Best Buy tonight and they had tons of Rock Band bundles in stock for the 360. Feel free to add me (taintedzodiac) if anyone wants to play on Live.

On a side note, how possible would it be to get rock band off goozex?

It's like trading guitar hero but 5 times bigger. 

Yeah Thats What I was wondering i traded my first two games just to get Rock Band does anyone have an estimate on how long it would take to get it like how long it took for GH or something, I'm 13th in line right now and only one trader does anyone think that others will be putting it up for trade soon?
