Ok guys, please help school me, because I am confused as heck.

With the recent price drop to the arcade down to 200 and also the recent price drop to the 120GB HD down to 150, and considering the aesthetic differences between them, does that mean you are paying an extra 50 for the elite for the black finish and the HDMI cable?

I used the 360 wiki page to look at the technical differences between the consoles and also considering the arcade comes with 5 free XBLA games that you cannot get on the elite, I am confused as to what the benefit of buying the elite is?

I am hoping someone here can please enlighten me.

Thanks!

The Xbox 360 Arcade console also does not include a network cable or hard drive.

Hehe, I have so many CAT5 cables I use them to decorate my place for Halloween!

I knew about the hard drive, that is whay I am asking if I were to purchase the Arcade and the 120GB HD for a total of 350, how is it different from buying the Elite?

I am guessing, black matte finish, headset(which I have 3 of), CAT5 cable, and HDMI cable?

Maybe I am being cheap but I can't see those items going for 50 dollars.

And thank you for the response Timpy.....I didn't know that there was no Network cable in the arcade.

I don't think the Arcade comes with a headset either, but you can find one for much less than the $50 you would be saving anyway.

ive heard that the quality of the arcade 360 is built better as it is more silent and runs cooler and i have one with an120gb hd that i bought like a few months ago and its nice i got me an HDMI cord off of ebay for less than $5 and had extra headsets like you.

the only problem is that i think you still need the MS component cables connected to your 360 to be able to do your sound system through fiber optic, but i don't have one on the tv in the living room because it sounds great so im not sure.

plus if you do go that route you also have the arcade games you just mentioned which i just traded mine in at Gamestop for $3 with that 3 for $15 dollar promotion so i could get me fallout 3 and gears of war 2 with the other stuff i traded in.

So im thinking of buying uno and texas hold'em because i gave away like 3 of those uno cards in the past and traded in my disc, plus i never had texas hold'em.
