You know you love it, talking about your games, right? Is there anything worse than blabbing away about some totally awesome gaming nerdasim moment only to notice your so called friend really could care less as his/her eyes glaze over. Because as you know, he/she really only wants to talk about what they did. Or in my case, trying to bring up a gaming topic with your co-workers/friends only to feel embarrassed because they have no clue what your talking about.
Avoid that akwardness by talking to your goozex community. One of the best parts of any gaming podcasts lately has to be the "whatcha been playin" segments. So I though this might be a fun read for the forum. What have you been playing so far this month? Feel free to use spoiler warnings at your own discretion :)
NCAA Football 09So far my month has consisted of football fever as NFL camps and college practices have got underway. I'm ashamed to say I'll be at Best Buy tomorrow picking up my collectors edition of Madden 09 (someone shoot me now). I can't help it, but now with goozex at least I have more confidence in my purchases! That said, its been alot of NCAA 09 for the 360 lately. Nothing online, just working my way though campus legend mode and tyring to come up with a solid slider and difficulty set for starting a dynasty. I haven't had many issues that alot have complained about so far. But I may just wait until the upcoming second patch before I really dig into it. Sounds like alot of gameplay fixes are on the way.
Orange BoxJust received this from goozex the other week for the 360, playing it for the first time and coming over from the PC where I played Half Life 2. I fired up Portal first, based on its excellent reviews, and I must say that game is absolutely fantastic. I finished it in a couple nights and loved about every aspect of it. For my tastes, the length was perfect. The writing, the way it made you think, the eerie feeling I got playing at certain moments, loved it!

Diablo 2Knowing that Diablo 3 will be releasing in the future, my friends and I have been playing it for nostaligic reasons.
Uncharted: Drake's FortuneWith the new trophy patch for this game, I'm attempting to pick up the Platinum trophy. Not too hard, just have to be more paitient and stop dying in crushing mode.
Civilization III: Gold EditionPurchased from Good Will for $1.99, just having some fun with it until I have enough for Civilization Revolution.

Let me know if you get some good sliders. I dropped out of a Dynasty for a couple of reasons, AI making me want to spike a controller was one of them, the other was time constraints.
Spectral Force 3
I bought this game on the release date (July 29) and haven't been able to put it down yet. I've logged close to 30 hours and have found myself staying up later than I usually do just so I can do one more mission. Unneccessarily hit hard by reviewers (some complaints are justifiable, but this is not a big budget game so why would you expect big budget results?), if you like strategy RPG games, then don't miss this. (I wrote more impressions on the game discussion page)
Thunder Bay

Probably a bit sad to admit, but I've never played any Diablo. I'm not a big action RPG guy, but all I know is that it involves a ton of clicking with your mouse, ha. Always heard great things about it though. Quite a time frame gap between the two , but how does it compare to say, Titan Quest?
I also am looking forward to Civ Rev, for DS. The handheld pick up and play aspect of a Civ game really intrigues me. I've also been casually playing Civ III after picking it up at Target for a few dollars, and thats been my first Civ experience actually. After messing around with it for a few months here and there, I love it. I immeadiately added Civ IV to my requests.
Halo 3: I like playing maps that I make with my friends
Call of Duty 4: I like playing with my friends
And thats all my games. I am getting Burnout Paradise though!

Yea, I've had a few of those moments in NCAA. I seem to with every EA football release, every year though. I don't know, I think I'm just to the point now where I want to enjoy these for what they are and not get too technical with them. Thats probably not the best way to go about it though, so maybe EA has finally wore me down, ha. I have enjoyed NCAA 09 though, robo AI quarterback aside. My last game I tested out was Colorado vs Oklahoma, where I was CO. I wanted to see if I could hang with a top team and I got beat 23-3. Not a bad game, I had 2 trips in the redzone late in the fourth but didn't capitalize.
And I can say that I've never heard of Spectral Force 3, let alone 1 & 2? Haha. Not an RPG guy as you can tell. I read your impressions though and it sounds interesting. Maybe a good starter game for a strategy RPG virgin like myself?
Grand Thef Auto IV
Overall it'sa fun game, a very fun game. But damn was it overrated. Does not deserve all the perfect scores it's getting. Still a solid 9, but I think half the budget was spent by Rockstar hiring ladies of the night to service reviewers at major game sites.
Tales of Symphonia
Replaying it again to refresh my memory for Tales of Symphonia 2 later this year, and to get in the spirit for Vesperia which comes out in two weeks.
Final Fantasy IV DS
Love it. Everything about this game is awesome. The old school nostalgia I get from playing it is great. And it's just a really well made game in general. Shows you just how far Square has fallen.
NBA Live 2003 ps2- gotta love its old but it has Jordan and its got good mechanics
GTA IV-Running over people never gets old!
MGS4-Still working on it, good game a lot like a 3 hr movie...

Uncharted-Trophy patch,hehe
Baulders Gate 2-Never played it completely and I just read Drizzt is unlockable after first playthrough.
Ninja Gaiden 2-Just got it,already growing tired of the game over screen(you'd think i'd learn to use my healing items)
Mass Effect-Got bit by the RPG bug, love the game, hate the 360 disk error, time to upgrade :)
darkspark: Uncharted-Trophy patch,hehe
I had no idea that they did that patch. I just sent the game out on Saturday. I knew something was up when i-weapon-x and Mafafu were both playing Uncharted so I checked out their trophies and seen Uncharted had them. That really sucks.
World of WarcraftI say, "Bah!" to the naysayers. I'm pumped about the upcoming expansion and have been doing some raiding with my Alliance guild on the Thunderhorn server. If anybody wants to give it a try, PM me your email addy and I'll send you a trial invite.

So we can add you to the list of the fallen? Silentshawn has got his work cut out for him.
I've been making my way through Ninja Gaiden II in addition to playing some Soul Calibur IV on the 360. While I do enjoy Ninja Gaiden II I'm not so sure it's worthy of all the hype it received. Soul Calbur IV on the other hand has been a blast, and on-line play has been pretty co-operative so far.
I've also been playing quite a bit of Geometry Wars 2, though my high scores are just pitifull.
On the DS, my Picross addiction is back, and I've just about cleared out all the puzzles in normal mode. It is easily one of the most addictive DS titles around once you get the 'picture crossword' hybrid.

I love World of Warcraft. I really do. But I had to stop. Once you hit top level it starts to feel like a second job....That I'm paying to work for. I still have nightmares about the Tribal Leatherworking quest.
Halo 3 - Just got the last 3 single player Achievements along with the IWHBYD Skull. Just need the MVP, UNSC Spartan, and Spartan Officer for online. Im willing to help people with Co-Op to get achievements or skulls.
COD4 - Thanks to this game my backlong just got a whole lot bigger. Just somthing about this game that keeps me comming back to it when I know there are other games I need to finish.
Lost Planet: Colonies Edition - Never got to play the Lost Planet since I didnt want to spend $30 on it. Listing to the CAGcast I heard that there was going to be a Colonies Edition comming out and desided to wait untill then to get it. Got it a few days after the release of it for $20. Walmart had it in their $20 or under titles. I thank them for their mess up. :D
