Recently I had a request for a game. I accepted the trade (100 points) and when i printed out the label it gave me the address:
michael jackson rapes drive, toronto - address does not exist.
It seems that this person might be a new user with the free credit and points.
I sent an email to goozex about this and got no response (maybe wrong email). I cancelled the trade. Just now I got a request for a different game (300 points) from a user with the address:
michael jackson avenue, toronto - also does not exist
I checked the person's previous trades and came up with sending a N*SYNC game and a 1,111 games pack. All of the parties involved had the names end with *********124. I am asking the goozex community and the people who run the site become aware of the atrocities today.
If anyone else has encountered this problem, please share.

As mafafu has stated, do not send to this individual...report his user id immediately to feedback at goozex and await the response. Please post here again the status of this.

comicgeek77: its sleazy and will get me into trouble for saying it out loud BUT in the event that the 100 point/freebie game buyer you matched with is an obvious fake you are better off waiting three weeks, saying nothing, and getting 100 free points.
Actually you normally get your 100 points anyway, so saying something has no detrimental effect on you.

Well, being from Toronto I can assure you there is no street called Michael Jackson Rapes Dr. I would have stolen that street sign a long time ago if there was.
But yeah, it definitely looks like you've found a guy setting up multiple addresses to just generate free points. Thanks for letting us know, first of all, and it's certainly worth sending a couple of messages to Gooz staff.

Aye, I got my 100 points right away when I joined.

Ya, but it doesn't really make sense. Points aren't transferable between accounts, so all he's doing by putting in a fake address is screwing himself out of free games. There's a much better way to scam the system that I figured out, that'll get you a bunch of free expensive games. I obviously won't post it since I don't want people doing it, but I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet(or at least on a level that it's talked about).
Slow as hell and risky. Since you'd have to do it with 100 point games no one wants to guarantee you get the matche. Since Goozex blocks signups from identical IP addresses, the person would have go to multiple locations or sign up using a bunch of proxy servers. Hours of work just to reach a 1000 point game, and odds are, a couple of flags might be raised durring the process.
I sent an email to goozex with the situation. Then I tried to check the user's account and it was suspended. maybe something has been done already or they saw the boards and ran away (figuratively).
yeah, I always look at feedback to check if they got their points by scamming or a legit trader, if they scammed the points then I report them ad cancel the trades
at one point goozex was having a rockaband giveaway contest and i believe winners were decided by whoever signed up the most friends to the site over the course of several weeks and there are still alot of fake accounts floating around as the result of folks creating tons of fake friends to try and win the game. when i first joined that seemed to be causing a ton of problems like this.
wow thats a reallllyyyyy cheap thing to do for rockband??? cmon its only like $100 now.
