Again, I'm not saying that Mike Mussina should get in...but if he nears 300, he would be a virtual lock to get in. There would be no debate in the matter. That number still holds weight.
Here are 8 more reasons why Schilling won't and shouldn't get in: Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Greg Maddux, Mariano Rivera, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, Trevor Hoffman, and a slew of young pitchers who are absolutely dominant at a young age with dominant numbers.

Anyhow, why Mike Mussina could get in to the HOF - Don Sutton...why Curt Schilling won't, because of Bernie Williams (all-time post-season HR leader) and Bert Blyleven (HOF numbers and no HOF)

- Coming in at an older age and helping the Sox claim the series.

He may have the leagacy of the bloody sock and the World Series championships but to get into the baseball hall of fame you have to have the numbers and Curt's just don't stack up. Curt really isn't even one of the elite pitchers of his era. He's a great pitcher that people will probably always remember but he's not a HOFer.
