Ok here are the 3 questions for y'all, well everyone except for PSWii360 (who dislikes the NBA)...yes, I know that you'll read the thread. Anyhow, here are the 3 questions? Beasley or Rose as the better player 5 years from now? Biggest bust? And biggest superstar or surprise superstar outside of the previous 2 mentioned?
1) Derrick Rose - not only will he join the ranks of the great crop of PGs in the league, but he is in a great situation. Michael Beasley has a questionable high school career, 5 HS in 4 years, and in my opinion, I don't think that he loves to play.
2) O.J. Mayo - I don't think that he can shoot, and in this league, you have to be able to shoot. But you know what, this year's draft lineup looks like it is littered with busts. From Love, the Lopez Bros., Chalmers, Eric Gordon, Joe Alexander Honestly, after Pick #1 of Derrick Rose, they all don't give me any confidence.
3) Chris Douglas-Roberts - athletic, excellent shooter, ready-to-play

1) I think it's Rose too. He can definitely be as good as Chris Paul and the other elite PG's. I think Beasley will be good but he won't be an elite forward in the NBA.
2) I'm not quite sure who will be the biggest bust.
3) Biggest surprise? I think Donte Greene will be a big surprise because he's big and he's got a good shot. He didn't get too much attention in college because he was part of an injury-riddled and young Syracuse team that also lacked depth. I'm not saying he's gonna be a superstar but he could become a key part of a championship team.
Isn't it all fixed anyway?

I'm sorry, but I think that you are mistaken. You are thinking of the New England Patriots and the NFL.

I don’t think it’s all fixed if it was then the Pat’s wouldn’t have ben sent home from the Super Bowl 18 - 1

And you don't think that people in Vegas didn't clean up with that "upset".
1) This one is easy to predict - Rose. Not only has the league become a league of point guard domination, but more importantly, he is going to be playing in Chicago. The reason it takes so long for most high draft choices to really make a difference is because they get stuck on bad teams. Kevin Durant is a prime example. Sure, there was a hype at the start, and the team did better than last year, but in the end Al Horford had the bigger impact (and should have been RoY). Rose is going to be on a contender from day 1.
2) I don't know who will be the biggest bust. I think in general the draft will be a bust, but I am not going to pin it on anybody specific. I disagree that O.J. May will not do well because he cannot shoot. Lebron could not shoot either. When basketball becomes your job, and you don't have restrictions on practice like you do in HS and College you can learn to shoot better.
3) Overall, I think that this draft has quite the cluster of players who could be solid 6-8 players on the bench, but not a whole lot of superstars. I would be more surprised if we had more than 2 superstars from this draft (Rose and then either Mayo, Beasley, or Love).
Anyone living within a 50-mile radius of me has forgotten or wish they forgot about the NBA (All Nets & Knicks fans)

That's how it used to be around here until King James came in to town. Unfortunately, it may go back to that way around here when his contract is up.

And then ironically, when that contract is up, it might be either the Nets or Knicks fans that will be celebrating, so long as Bron-Bron can hit his free-throws.
