So I'm loving goozex and up to this time "sellers" have been really responsive, accepted/declined trades in a day.
Enter Viva Pinata! My wife has been wanting this game for a while and I added it to our requests. The first person didn't "respond in time", and the current is at 14 hours and counting down.
Would it be possible to set people who don't respond to trade requests as "inactive" or "on vacation". I'm sure I'm not the only one annoyed by the idea that these people are extending our wait time to recieve games 1 day at a time accross the entire community.
A person has two 26 hour periods to accept a trade. If it times out twice then it is removed from the queue and they'd have to add it again, putting them at the end of the queue. Be patient, you'll eventually get matched.
Putting them on vacation wouln't be a good idea. People have lives that get in the way of checking their email as often as they should, it isn't exactly fair to penalize them.
erock:If they time out twice
If they time out twice for one game, it gets removed from their Library. They must be adding it back in and not understand how the system actually works. Judging by the amount of redundant questions that are on the forums, these people must be large in number.
I agree, something more must be done. From my perspective, my points are locked away and missing other trades while someone who doesn't even respond for 52 hours only has their game removed. Example, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas (PS3), I had the same 'member' twice in a row over a four day period (placed the request on automatic hold if nothing happened). And so here I am getting emails that I'm missing this game and that game because of lack of credits. Come on, something really needs to be done. Here's a thought, why not either drop it to just one period of time allowed, or shorten the periods (ex. one period = 26 hours or two periods = 2 x 13 hours). Of course the penalty will still be in place of "game removed", but make it more worthwhile (ex. three strikes/game removals in a row and your account is put on hold until cleared with staff). All members must be made accountable. Lets not forget folks, we really are trading items that at one point or another, hard earned money was used to pay for, and that includes the trade credits themselves.
