A question for you collectors out there:
I found a complete copy of Pikmin 2 (non-players choice) used at a Gamestop near my parents' house today. It's priced at $40 ($36 after edge card). Would this be a smart buy? That's pretty much what the game's going for on ebay right now (although I know it was going for around $70 a couple weeks ago), so if I tried to buy it now I'd lose out after the ebay/paypal fees. My question is: based on other games deemed rare, how likely is it that this game will go back up in value a year down the road? Or would I be better off just letting this one go?

I would just say don't support Gamestop, because they're evil.

Pikmin 2's increase can be attributed to people's excitement over Olimar and Smash Brawl. I say pass on it, as you, at least someone as resourceful as you, can find it for less elsewhere. Worst case scenario, I can give you one of my spares if you have a hard time finding it later for less than the currently priced $40. No worries. Screw GameStop.

I never realized this was a rare game. I see it all the time in my local Gamestops.
40$ ??? I don't have any idea between a rare game and it's price now.... I own Pikmin 2, but it's lost in my house now >.<
