Friday Night MVP on the Xbox 360 is heading into it's second month with lots of steam. April was a good start, and now it's time to crown some new MVP's (or recrown some past winners if they are up to the challenge). This month also sees the introduction of a new title to the lineup.

 

NEW TIME: All Games start at 9:00pm Eastern (6:00pm Pacific):

• May 2: Call of Duty 4
• May 9: GTA IV
• May 16: Call of Duty 4
• May 23: GTA IV
• May 30: Texas Hold' Em (XBLA)

Hey everyone!

For a few months now Goozex members have been getting together to play games online.  Most notably has been Elite's Friday Night gaming.  After speaking with PSWii60 Elite and TaintedZodiac, Goozex is happy to support FRIDAY NIGHT MVP!  Here are the details:

Anyone can enter that has the game of the week and there is a 200 Goozex Points prize given to the selected MVP each week.   Games are pre-selected by PSWii60 Elite and TaintedZodiac.  They also determine the MVP criteria for any given game. Please PM them if you have any questions.

 

DETAILS FOR FRIDAY NIGHT MVP AND GAME RULES

How to enter:

1. Friend Goozex MVP on Xbox Live prior to the MVP session
2. Show up 10 minutes before the MVP session starts to join the Goozex host
3. Use Goozex clan tag [GOZX] or [GOZ]

Call of Duty 4 MVP Criteria:

• MVP will be chosen on total number of points earned during one hours of gaming.

• We will play as many rounds as we can during the hour, switching between maps and gametypes each round.
• Official Score Keepers: PSWii60 Elite and TaintedZodiac
  

Texas Hold'em MVP Criteria:

• The MVP will be the winner of the table in a Hold'em tournament. Multiple tables will be used if we have too many people for a single table.

GTA IV MVP Criteria:

• We will play as many games as we can fit into an hour. Game types will cycle between Deathmatch, Turf War, Cops and Crooks, Mafia Work, and Car Jack City. The MVP will be the person who accumulates the most cash for the night.

Prizes:

• Goozex will reward the MVP for any given Friday night 200 Goozex Points!
  
• A forum MVP badge will also be given
• Anyone who achieves 5 MVPs will be given a free Goozex t-shirt

IMPORTANT: For those of you who have played GTA IV online, please suggest the way that you think we should run MVP night for that game. Since the number of players are limited in certain gametypes, we need to find a fair way to get as many people in as possible while being able to crown a winner based on points or wins.

 Cops N Crooks is the only non race scorable multiplayer that holds 16 people (2 teams of 8) The other modes are all 4 players per team. It will depend on how many show up. 16 people can also play in Free Play, but I don't think that's scorable.

i only played online once last night at like 2am before passing out...but what about keeping track of the money? is that in all the modes or how is it? i only got to play the deathmatch so idk..just a thought

I got online for a few last night in Team Deathmatch. However on a couple the host had it setup to use the entire city so my team and I only saw one other player in two matches (note: make sure to never play a match that uses the entire city). Though Team Deathmatch is pretty straight forward. You get points for both kills and money picked up from dead players.

However, Im not sure it would work yet and I dont know I didnt see an option for a private match other than party mode, which seems to launch the "party" into public matches. I have no problem playing with other people and giving the MVP to the MVP of our Goozex team. Ill have to dabble into it some more tonight and figure out a format.

It's your call on how MVP is handled based on the limitations of the game. I don't have the game, nor do I plan to for a while.

Will there be the possiblity of moving the GTA games back to 9pm?  I don't really want my kids watching me any version of GTA, but I really enjoy the MVP night(even though I suck). Moving the time back may grab a few more West coasters too.

I've got no problem with a 9PM start for MVP nights. I'll bring it up to everyone who comes for CoD4 tomorrow and see if everyone can make the later time, as long as it's good for PSWii as well.

Im fine with anything that will  bring more players. If 9pm is what fellow Goozex'rs want then lets do it, I say we put it to a vote as to not upset the majority.

9pm is fine with me. Should make things easier, to take the wife out and get back in time to play. She doesn’t find watching me play COD4 all that romantic. I don’t get women.

My wife usually just asks why I die so much or she'll sit on the couch and laugh at me as Tavong kills me for the 100th time in one match.  In short I don't need a headset to experience the trash talk that XBL has to offer.

how long does it take for the team member to answer back regarding the viral badge.. and how does one get the goxz clan badge...who do i gotta message for this stuff? and right after i write this i will go and check the badge thread. :D

yeah dude ive done that and havent gotten an answer.....that was like 3 months ago and then again sometime after that...and for the gozx thing it says a good way is to invite someone to play when viewing their profile....what did you do to get yours?
