100 Free Points Promo

Hey Goozers!

I just wanted to let you all know that we are trying a new promo this month and giving all new members 100 points upfront  so that they can try out Goozex for the first time.  For current members, it's ok if you get a request from a member with no feedback for a 100 point game.  

For new members, make sure you request 100 point games that are available (over 4,000 titles) in order to spend the points.

Hope everybody has fun with this promo!

Oh, yeah, I lika dat.  My library is ripe with 100 point pc games that need to be fostered out and given the love and attention they deserve.

I'm excited about this promo as it is sure to "show" people the beauty of the service.  However, it is just as important that the established Goozex community assist the noobs as they are sure to have questions and concerns.

Quick question....as a noob....can I save the 100 and put it towards say a 600 point game after I "sell" 500 worth of my own games, or do I HAVE to use the free 100 only towards a 100 point game?

 I "sold" my first game today, within hours of signing up, very cool....it's in the mail, just awaiting feedback and my points. 

 Glad I found this site, sounds like a way better way to get value for my used games instead of EBay.

balaroo, yes, I don't see why that would be an issue.  The 100 point promo, I am surmising, is a way to show new users how to use the system with little to no obligation or risk, hence, the free game of 100 points.   But a 100 points is a 100 points so I don't see why you can use it to supplement a larger game "purchase".  Enjoy the system, and welcome.

Yup yup this promotion is great. Too bad I joined Goozex just right before the promotion :) but no hard feelings. I also have had a few new members use their 100 points to get games of mine, so I'm pretty psyched ^_^ It's amazing just how many great games are at that 100 point level too. Talk about bargains!

But you did get your 100 points though, just afterwards...as opposed to getting fronted the points to begin with.

 Great promotion idea, it helps both new members and most current members to get rid of those 100 point games.

 I just got my 100 points and requested my first game. This site is awesome. I have some old games I want to put up here when I get a chance. This is much easier than gamestop, especially for me, when gamestop is 75~100miles away

Hope you love the site as much as I do =) I've already got a bunch of great games and after trading just a couple of my games I have literally thousands of points now. It is MUCH better than the Gamestop and the fact that you don't need to drive anywhere makes it all the better. Game money and Gas money saved, woo hoo!

Great promo.  I recently referred my cousin to the site and he wanted to request a couple of games but had to wait a while to accumulate some point by trading his own games.  While this is sort of a good "probational" type of introduction to the way things work at Goozex, it also could be a little frustrating.  This way new users can get right into things by recieving a game worth 100 points.  Good idea.
