I recently recieved xenosaga I and was excited to play it..
Gave Positive fedback without even trying the game out since i was busy.
but now its spring break week and i had a chance to pop it into the ps3 for a test run..
But all it did was, it showed the plastation 2 logo at the start and then stoped..
and i just sat there confused in disbelief..
IS this game not compatible with the PS3???? The Package/disc look really clean...
Which version PS3 do you have? If the game is fine, but the PS3 doesn't play it (40GB won't, 80GB might not), then, unfortunately, it's your fault. If it SHOULD work in the PS3 you have, then you might have to email feedback@goozex.com and tell them of the situation.

i have a 60 GB PS3.
Yes.. I did my research on this before i requested it .& It was stated on many websites that the 60 GB itself would have no problem playing the game. It can be seen at http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/CompatibleStatus (Plastation site) by typing xenosaga in the space provided.
I have also recorded the problem of it trying to load up ....
Update: Just sent an email to feedback@goozex and they responded fairly quickly.
so hopefully this get resolved pretty soon
Well, Xenosaga 1 is a dual layered game, which gave a lot of PS2s a problem. Not sure if that messes with PS3s or not though.
Ok, Xenosaga won't play at all on the "fat" PS2s, but will work on the "slim" PS2s. I had that problem when i first got it. Now PS3- Xenosaga won't play on any of them for some unbeknownst to me. Get a PS@ and you be fine.

I have a fat PS2. Got it when FF X came out. It never had a problem playing Xenosaga.
Then my "fat" is like retarded!!!!! Mine wouldn't play Xenosaga 1 or 2, but it will play 3, the best of the three.

So true. I remember reading the catlolic reviews of the first one. They were hilarious. I wish the series had been more popular, not just so we'd get more games, but also so we would have gotten religious reviews of the 3rd one with it's heavy handed religious overtones.

never got a chance to play it yet ... fill me in on the epic story of xenosaga lol..
idk, but do guys think i should request xenosaga 1 or even 2 again??? to see if my ps3 can play it??
It's kind of hard. The story is very....uh....detailed. the first game actually has a 45 minute cutscene. And 15-20 minutes is the norm. But if you enjoy a good sci-fi yarn, and can deal with all the religious overtones(especially in Episode III) then you'll enjoy it.
Now Xenosaga is a mix of The Legend of Dragoon, Star Wars, and a little Armored Core. This mix is perfect in the combination and with the bit of Religious bashing hidden in the game,it is great to play and better to watch the cutscenes.
There really isn't any religious bashing in the games.
There is, but if you ain't looking for it you can't find it. The android is a big part of how we, as humans, create life not a "higher being."
