I sent out MLB The Show 07, in MINT condition and the buyer claims the disc was damaged in shipping and is unplayable. This is my very first negative feedback and I must say im more than a little annoyed buy it. For one, I dont believe it. Anyone who has received a game from would know I put alot of care into may packaging since I take alot of pride in my unblemished feedback.

The thing that irritates me the most is the lack of common courtesy to give me a PM about it so that maybe the situation could be taken care of by me. He could have sent the game back and I could have traded him some points for his trouble. Im sure that wont happen because Im about 90% sure the game is fine.

There should be a stipulation on these "Received Unplayable Discs" that the game has to be returned for the buyer to get his points refunded. It would eliminate even the attempts to try and scam someone for a free game. Its far too easy for someone to say "it doesnt work", keep the game, and get there points back.

If you don't believe him and want him to prove the game was damaged, you can contact feedback @ goozex.com (No spaces)  and they will request for him to send them the game and they will look into it.

I just realized it was you PSWii60.  You should know the answer to this.  Stick out tongue   And I know how you feel. I sent a game out in good condition, the guy claimed it didnt work. We did cancel the trade and I got the game back. But it looked like someone rubbed it all over sandpaper.  And I know I didn't send the game out that way.... it happens tho.  You'll always find scammers.

Oh I do know how it works, thats why im lobby for the change in the way it works. The solution seems so simple. I mean if you buy a pair of pants from the GAP online and they dont fit, they dont let you keep them and give you a refund, you send them back and then you get your refund. I should be hard for scammers to pull these things off, not easy.

I guess Im bitter and only getting to this now because its my first negative and Im P.O'ed about it.

I agree that something like that should be in place.

At the least the game should have to be returned to Goozex to inspect. Letting the buyer keep an unplayable game opens up all kinds of possibilities to scammers.

This won't stop me from requesting a game that I have that is all boogered up getting yours and sending mine back. OR playing the game then when I HAVE to send it back, scratch it and say it came that way.

There are never going to be full proof way s to prevent a-holes from scamming, but at least we can try and limit thier options for doing so. Thanks for giving them ideas.

First post here.

I just got my first negative so early in my trading experience, and it was the only game I had worth 1000 points. I had tested it and all worked fine. Paid good Canada-USA postage money and packaging. The buyer, who told me himself he already had a copy of the game, claimed my copy wasn't working, sent it to Goozex, got his points refunded, all the while ignoring my PMs trying to rectify the situation with him. I'm left with no FF7, 1000 points gone and a negative feedback. The buyer got his points back, and is probably playing my perfectly fine version of FF7.

Shit happens.

Apologies if you've already done so, but have you contacted Goozex with this information? The user in question has given out negative feedback on 4 out of the 6 games he's received so far, it seems like a pretty obvious case of fraud.

Yeah, I contacted Goozex, they were kind enough to read through my emails and answer me, but no more.

In the last week, although the buyer said he couldn't muster up the time to give me a clear explanation or simply answers to my repeated questions, he did manage to give me immediate and unclear negative feedback the morning he received the game, then hold an email conversation with Goozex, get their mailing address, package the CD himself again, mail it and get refunded his points. All this while my questions were left hanging. I wanted to pay him a prepaid postage box so he can send me the game back, but he had already gone to Goozex. I'm still bewildered and saddened by the whole thing, but I'm not blaming Goozex, I should've known better. FF7 was my best game.

Yeah, I won't be trading with that guy. I'll put my game back on hold for 3 days before I ever do that. LOL   4 negatives in 6 trades.  I can't believe Goozex didn't rectify the situation.  I always look at the person's feedback history now before I send games to them. It seems like scammers and abusers are becoming more frequent.

That's one of the reasons I thought Goozex would side with me...If he turns out to be proven a scammer in the future, do i still have a chance to get my points back?

Chico and others following Chico's story.  I have brought this to the attention of the ptb, and we will bring you an official response sometime next week.  I want this to be looked into , and I feel that the circumstances deserve a "looking into".  Rest assured that I was not alone as a mod in my concern over this and the perception of this situation.

Wow, dont know how to thank you...Even if no change comes out of this, I really appreciate your efforts, it made my day! I'm willing to provide any more details (PM correspondance, etc...) in case they ever need them. Take it easy!
