To prevent cons a buyer should have to return the game to Goozex if the buyer selects feedback that results in the seller not getting any points for his trade. Goozex would then credit or deduct points as needed and then return the game to the seller. If the seller is at fault then charge them a trade credit. This would solve alot of problems. What do you all think?
People would just get around this by saying they never received the game, and get their points back anyway, unless of course you use Delivery Confirmation. Unfortunately, here in Canada, we don't have an affordable DC option.

The system should not favor the con man.

Unfortunately, a con will always find a way.
I think that we, the honest and good traders, seem to over-think things through. "Conning" and "scamming" are not as common as one may think. And though these things do occur, Goozex has established safeguards against such behavior and they have taken reasonable steps to resolve disputes between traders. All we can continue to do is be an effective community of traders and...please, please continue to leave detailed comments and accurate feedback.

Also I could request a copy of a game I have that is all scratched up and send in my crappy copy and say it was yours.

Without adding TONS to the cost the current system seems the best way. We could send our games to Goozex and have them test them and then send them on. In that case it would be just as easy to take them to EBGames for the costs that Goozex would have to charge.

Exactly. I think people need to realize that for $1 a game plus shipping costs to send out games, you're getting a heck of a good system. Goozex works to resolve every issue that comes up, and quite frankly a scammer is not going to get away with a lot of games. One or two, sure, but the team is going to spot someone saying that every game (or even every third or fifth) game coming to them is not working.
