Anyone else really excited for this game? Ive been a huge fan of the series for a long time. Its a very cartoony looking game, but underneath its one of the deepest golf games that video games have to offer.
I cant wait to get into some online Goozex tourney's, up to 50 players.

I just started playing the fourth version for the PS2. I love it. Haha...50 people tourny....that's going to be a longgggggg night. Unless we get to hit at anytime regardless of which hole the other person is on. Do you know when this game is coming out? I think it will be one of the few games I am willing to pick up at retail price.

Nice, I have 40 dollars in best buy credit. =D
Essentially it is the same game that we've been playing for decades right, except slightly enhanced graphics and more online play, right?

you can see a video review here from IGN: http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/775/775513/vids_1.html
The online is enhanced over the HSG 4 online, yes. They now have lobbies you can walk in to chat to other gamers using a customizable avatar. The Japanese version (which i've had since it came out) has multiple "floors" to the "clubhouse", each with their own lobbies and tournaments.
The one problem? Still no voice chat! You can only talk by typing using a USB keyboard or the on screen keyboard. Considering how much further along the PS3's online is compared to the PS2 you would think they could have added voice to the mix.

PSWii60 Elite:Glad to hear some of that, the problem is that it really isnt that much further along than the PS2 as far as online goes.

PSWii60 Elite:No sir it doesnt, you still have to buy it. ($49.99 retail fyi), Not that the no chat feature would bother you. How dare you deprive me of talking trash in NHL.
However, there are two things coming UPS today: A bluetooth headset for The Show trashtalking, and a 5.1 pair of headphones for the wife.

Oh, you can talk all the trash you want, just ask cheeznrice. I can hear you, I just don't have the mic on half the time because my wife is watching a movie or something 5 feet away. I love thisseries, but that swing meter is scaring me. Let us hope it does not end up being Tiger Woods bad. I love my 3 button swings.
