Why is everything on hold? When I look at the trading info it says 20+ on hold and I want to get it by next week but it doesnt look like that's happening.
If you want Halo 3 by next week your best shot is to buy it. People will trade the game here when their ready, so if you don’t want to shell out the money for it and want to trade for it like me, your going to have to be patient.

Since the multiplayer in Halo games typically dominates, it will likely be at least a month before any trades are really happening other than one or two. And at 850 points for the standard edition ... never.

Just because you want a game doesn't mean that it will magically be available. Don't expect this game to be traded here for sometime. Everyone that had bought it is most definitely a Halo fan, so there would be no reason for him/her to trade it so quickly. I haven't even seen it traded in at stores, when I have seen other AAA games being traded in within days....Halo's multiplayer is its bread and butter, and you know what that means.
Buy the game, if you really want it this month. Even if one or two are released here, you have to at the top of the queue to be the lucky one.

The thing is that it "is" there, people just have it on hold.
Yes, it is there...but that is placed there to reserve their place in the queue. Common and practical sense should tell you that it will not be traded. Many of us list games immediately, and then place them on hold to reserve our spots...with no immediate intention of trading.
Why aren't there rules against that? Someone could put one up that's active and the first person in line won't get it until the On Hold people trade theirs.
I don't think that you understand the queue system, on hold status, etc. If a game does become available, gamers with their games on hold will be skipped...there will be no delay in trading, by the same token, their place in line will not be lost after that transaction has been made.
That’s not how the system works if a person has it on hold they are skipped and the first person in line with it active is able to trade.
Ummm...sort of unrelated...though still halo 3, and I don't feel like making a new thread.
I have halo 3 in my library, 70th in line or so. Now, It seems that this game is about the 50th most requested game for the 360, and I've had it in my library for maybe a week now, and it hasn't budged in the queue. Now, how is this possible? Shouldn't I at least be moving up the list?
There's a new feature in development that will make a separate category for "virtual holds," that is to say users who don't have enough points, trade credits, or trade slots to qualify for a game they're requesting. Once this gets implemented it should give us a better idea of how the queue is really doing.
I plan to cash in some of my tickets at Dave and Busters in Providence, RI and last time I checked they had a couple copies of Halo 3 there (brand new of course). I was thinking of picking up two copies: one for me and one for trading on Goozex. I currently have just shy of 40,000 tickets and I remember correctly the game cost like 7950 or so. They also had Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 but not sure if I'll get it yet. Time will tell. Then again with Black Friday and all it's possible they've been cleaned out of good games again.Any of you guys go to Dave and Busters in Providence?
ha! and, a few hours after posting, I got a request. Ah well. 1000 points, here I come!
hey that virtual hold sounds like it will be a great addition to the trading info screen.
