As all PlayStation 2 owners are aware, however, production on Halo was shifted immediately to an Xbox version in 2000 when Take-Two Interactive sold its 20% share of developer Bungie to Microsoft. Thereby solidifying Halo's position as an Xbox and PC exclusive (with a Mac port much, much later on) forever.
Halo for PS2, this game is ultra-rare and oop. This will easily go for over 1000 points. Yowzers. Forget the Halo killer, Killzone, this one is the end all be all.

Um ... the Mac version came 2 months after the PC version ... I'd consider the game an XBOX exclusive with crappy Mac & PC ports from the company supposedly interested in promoting PC gaming.

Imagine if Take-Two hadn't sold it's share to Microsoft...
Halo would probably have went to both the PS2 and Xbox.
Too bad, then we could have had a REAL console war!
Sony fanboys could only dream
It would be amazing to think how popular the game would be if it were multi-console.
I can imagine what the PS2 version would be like...
Bungie would be smart about it and make PS2 exclusive maps so all the Xbox owners would buy that copy too. And they would leave some of the maps exclusively for the Xbox so all the Playstation owners would also pick up that copy. This one game could bring a big part of the PS2 and Xbox community together and kick some butt on a global level together.
I remember this being an RTS and a Mac exclusive, then Microsoft got ahold of it and shaped it to be a major Xbox title early in it's release (I'm pretty sure it wasn't launch-ready, but close). I don't ever remember a PS2 version in the works, weird.
I remember watching a video about halo in its FPS form on a PC Gamer demo disk.... I'm pretty sure it was before the xbox was out..
